Great store, astonishing prices! Milk was $1.28 a gallon! One dollar, twenty eight cents, friends! That's madness! Now, I know we've all been to Aldi before...but around here, your discount grocery stores are Sav-a-Lot, Pic'n'Sav, and Aldi, and Aldi blows them away in every category. Selection, quality, service, and price. There's fresh produce at crazy low prices, an excellent frozen section, tons of great pastas, meats, and dry goods. There are even a couple of aisles of great household items (I saw a gorgeous decanter for 9.99 that would cost 30.00 anywhere else, a floor sweeping robot for 19.99 🤖, and a dual massager showerhead for 19.99). And the best part, to me, was the store itself. It's well-designed, and clean, and has a friendly, Publix-esque atmosphere that gives you the feeling of shopping in a Sprouts or Whole Foods. I strongly, strongly recommend Aldi in general, and DEFINITELY this specific store. Oh, side note: the shopping carts require a 25¢ deposit to use. It's actually kinda cool. You have to deposit a quarter in a slot on the cart to unlock it from the rest. It's a bit tricky, especially for the less coordinated folks out there. Just pop your quarter in the slot on the box on the cart's handle, then make sure it's fully inserted, and pull the chain that connects the cart to the others. Be kind to the next shopper, and push the cart back to the stall near the door, and insert the chain, and you get your quarter yet. Better yet, leave the quarter in there for the next customer. 😁 Another tip if you've never shopped at Aldi: it's a "big box" store, so collect empty boxes as you shop. That's what you take your groceries home in. They have paper bags available as well, for 7¢ each....
Read moreAldi used to be wonderful but they've had a change in staff. Everything I go in, the new girl at the register is so mean. I'm in a situation where my husband thinks I should let him know the total and send me the money before I check out. It's not ideal. It's embarrassing. This girl literally told the next person in line "She's crazy." I said to her "excuse me?" She replied "Oh I was just telling her how sleepy I am" and gave me a mean face like I was disgusting. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a store before. I am beyond tired as a full time mom to small kids who has absolutely no help for mo ths at a time while my husband travels. I may look tired and even be slightly confused, but I don't deserve that. I'm still human. She also made a huge deal about me taking a box with me to organize the stuff in the car. She told me that it was weird because usually people give her the box to throw things in. My car was packed and I wasn't sure what I'd be able to fit where so I just wanted to take the box with me. I explained that and was also given an ugly look for that. After she called me names, I walked out and sent my husband in. He said she wasn't very nice to him either. I told my mother about the situation. She says the girl was rude to her too. She hasn't been nice the past 2 times I've went to the store. I'm always nice, say hello and smile so I'm not sure what I did to upset her, but my family won't be shopping there anymore unless the employee situation gets better. No one deserves to be treated like this or to be that uncomfortable for nothing more than trying to buy food for...
Read moreAs far as I can tell ALDI is the single greatest grocery store chain that has ever existed in the history of mankind.... Okay so I know that's a little bit of an over exaggeration but just a smidge but I do truly believe ALDI is pretty great. Everything from their produce(they carry some of the freshest mushrooms I have ever found and they have a hard to find brand of grapes that I love call black beauties) to their bread(they're Hawaiian sandwich cut bread is delicious and their multigrain low carb wheat bread is a great sandwich bread also) to their absolutely amazing cheese section(everything from everyday sliced sandwich cheeses to an absolutely amazing 5-year-old white cheddar from Vermont and many many more). They have I really good meat section also (their center cut bacon wrapped filet mignon is an absolute steal). Milk and eggs are always cheaper at ALDI than just about 99% of other grocery store chains, they beat the closest Walmart to me by a dollar and a half on milk and about a dollar seventy five on eggs. All around ALDI just beats their competitors at the basics and that is to be the best at what they do, their stores are clean, well stocked, they have a nice selection, and all at very reasonable prices. ALDI employees are cordial, respectful and know their jobs. With ALDI the choice easy, you either want a pleasant, easy going shopping experience or a hectic and expensive shopping experience with...
