This is the second negative review I have ever left somewhere if that says anything.
I used to love and recommend getting prescriptions from here, but once summer hit, I went downhill. I've tried giving Chaney's the benefit of the doubt but after the school year ended, I've been having to wait at least 30 minutes to get my prescriptions, and thats not why I wont be going back. I wont be going back because a girl came out of the side door to get my process started. (Because I was waiting behind another car forever) I told her exactly what 2 prescriptions I needed, and she asked for my card. Since my prescriptions are max $10, I gave it to her. When I got to the window, she asked for an additional card since mine would only take so much off. Why? Because she charged my card a ridiculous amount of money for a prescription I never once asked for, and my card didn't have that much money on it. So now, I have $0 in my bank account and they can't tell me when the money will be refunded. You know... most pharmacies tell you before charging your card how much it will be when its expensive, but that didn't happen. I called the pharmacy when I left and asked to speak to someone in charge. They put me on hold, I told the next girl what happened, she put me on hold without saying anything, and then a man answered with an attitude. I spoke to him very nicely and explained what happened again. He basically told me that he doesnt know when I'll get my money refunded and that he'd call me back. (Which he didn't do) When he said all that, I asked if I could get my prescriptions transferred to another pharmacy. He said "I mean I guess so." I replied "Okay, thank you.", and he hung up the phone without saying "Bye" or anything.
So now I have $0 in my bank account, and don't know when I will get my money back. Very rude and negligent staff. It's terribly run, and is honestly worth nothing more than their TCBY. They screwed me over, and will probably screw...
Read moreLately they are using generic brands that are sub-par and easily don't meet the FDA's requirement for generic meds to contain a minimum of the chemical compound you are being prescribed. This is why big chain stores are killing the private owned pharmacies. Probably all by design. Anyway, onto the meat & potatoes of this review. For years this was my "go to" pharmacy, and I ONLY used them, however they have recently hired 1 employee from G&M after that pharmacy was sold out, and that has caused the service to diminish a great deal. Just like G&M, the same habits have been brought to this pharmacy, and this pharmacy tech wants to play doctor, and she seems to take it personal when someone brings in a prescription that she doesn't agree with. If you value your privacy while at the pharmacy, then pray you don't get this lady when you go to Chaney's. It's really annoying. If my doctor wrote the prescription, then fill the prescription so I can be on my way. If you doubt that prescription is authentic, then call the doctor, or whatever it if you do, but don't yell across the pharmacy that you're gonna have to call my doctor about my prescription so everyone in the store can hear what's happening. You're supposed to be a professional, you're paid to do a professional's job, so act like you're a professional. You're a pharmacist for christ's sake, not a god, you don't get to tell me when my doctor should and should not be increasing or decreasing my medication. You're not paid for that, the doctor is paid for that. You didn't go to school for that, you went to school to learn how to count pills and fill bottles, so do your job and stop harassing loyal customers. This is the same exact reason that G&M ran their business into the ground, and it won't take too much of this for Chaney's to be in the...
Read moreI do NOT appreciate how I was treated. The pharmacist (who was a lady with short hair in a bob) was rude. She was acting as if I tried to get painkillers, which was for my mother that was in need of her pain pills after surgery, illegally (by saying that there was no doctor's signature though there was a signature and even the Pharm Tech acknowledged it, and acted like I didn't have insurance (a "Pharmacy" card). I usually go to Walmart, but Walmart was closing, and I was recommended to come here. Never again. I've never been asked for a "pharmacy card", or never have been treated in...
