My husband and I travel full-time in our Class B RV and typically do laundry about once a month. I'm very picky about my laundry, so for the first year of our RV travels, we would book an Airbnb once a month to take care of laundry. This year, we finally took the plunge and started booking a campground with laundry facilities instead. This time around, we just didn't have time to do that with our travel plans, so we decided to finally try out a laundromat. Our hope/goal was to get everything done in one go rather than spread out across multiple days since Airbnbs obviously only have one set of laundry machines and most campgrounds limit you to 2 loads at a time. Overall, we were very pleased with this facility as even at 10am on a Sunday there were plenty of machines available. I noticed a few "out of order" signs, but all the machines we tried to use were clean and in good working order. We were able to wash 10 loads simultaneously and dry 5 loads simultaneously (I air-dry a lot of my items so we were mostly just drying our linens, towels, pajamas, etc.). However, my one complaint was just the clientele - most seemed completely clueless to any kind of etiquette or respect for others. Virtually everyone there was chain-smoking right outside of the doors - it was almost impossible to walk in or out without getting your lungs and laundry full of nasty, carcinogenic smoke. I'm allergic to smoke and it triggers my asthma so this seriously impacted my ability to breathe. This business should really consider making the premises non-smoking or at least have a certain radius from the door where smoking is not allowed like many other businesses. On top of that, one man literally tried to dump his dirty clothes into a machine full of our clean laundry while my husband was in the process of transferring the items to the dryer. When I let him know we were still using the machine, he literally coughed in my face. Even in non-pandemic times, I feel like that is the most disgusting thing ever. All of that to say, this facility is actually quite nice, but the clientele, not so much, so I would try to visit at a non-busy time, if at...
Read moreWe travel fulltime in our RV and use ALOT of laundromats. This place is GREAT! Very well kept. Attendant in hand that stays VERY busy tidying up and cleaning things. A lot of washers. Maybe need a few more dryers as that area seemed to bottleneck. Lots of great seating areas too. Plenty of bill changers. Vending machines too. Allow dogs??? Only downsides: not sure why there is MO RESTROOM but that is REALLY inconvenient. Not like I want to leave my clothes and drive across the road to find one. At least they had a sink to wash your hands from handling dirty coins. Also, although the building and machines were WELL kept - they may want to look at cleaning the soap areas on the washers (see pic). This area always seems to get neglected at laundromats. It was a little toasty the day I was there (95 outside) and it did seem a bit warm in the building. Overall, a really excellent place! NOTE: they are open till 8pm but last load in at 6PM and no...
Read moreI think this place is great they just don’t police when the app gets abused. The app doesn’t work great but when I was adding minutes to my already running dryer this lady steps directly in front of me, quickly stops and starts hers and takes my minutes. I tell her and we end up getting the attendant who tells us it is between the two of us. I can show in the app how much I actually paid, only got like 50 cents back. There was literally an electronic record of what I paid for. If a machine ate up a bunch of quarters we would probably get reimbursed no big deal. If the same thing happens except with the app you QR coded on all your machines how is that any different? Update: I went back next day, talked to someone got refunded so that’s fair! My advice is not to install the PayRange app on your phone and stick to cash and quarters. We had PayRange for vending machines etc. at my previous job and it worked great, but Pahrump and technology aren’t the...
