Well, lets just start with the service.....The gentleman that seated us and took our drink order was....pleasant.....BUT, when I asked for a red blend, he said 'do you want me to mix them?' We have Merlot and Cabernet........uhhhhhh, well, no, how about just a cabernet....bar none, the worst 3 sips of wine I have ever had....so, like sour milk, I asked my sisters in law to verify how bad it was and share in the terrible experience, they did....lol....I should have taken a photo of the bitter expression that they immediately showed....then, they brought my husband and brother warm beer, nice addition. Then the waitress, Destynee came to take our order....I ordered the 8 oz apricot steak. She responded 'we don't have that in an 8 oz any longer, we have the 10 or 12 oz. So, I said, 'ok, I guess I will have the 10 oz then. We ordered the chicken simosas that were also on the menu...those were also unavailable, as were the lamb....only the pea and potato, which the waitress failed to mention until they were already prepared...so, we rolled the dice and decided to give it a go....well, then we all ordered steaks, with the exception of my brother, he ordered the 'too good to be bleu burger'....the waitress brings our dinners, my apricot steak wasn't an actual apricot steak....she was rude enough that we were all, well, just shocked....well, still no burger for my brother....so finally, one of my sister in laws went up to ask about the location of my brothers burger....well, apparently his order had not been put in yet. By this time, we have all had time to taste our steaks. Medium rare did not exist, but the gristle was plentiful. Ten minutes went by and my brother finally said, look skip the burger...then, they brought it, cold fries and all....My brother told them he did not want the burger, the manager insisted, and my brother he wouldn't eat it if you paid him to., they still insisted, and at this point with our waitress, Destynee still holding strong in her complete lack of customer service or tact, continued until we finally gave up. (Keep in mind everyone else had slid their dinners away so my brother would have been the only one left eating) At which point, we asked for the manager with our uneaten steaks and explanations of the evening....he offered to comp our meal.....THIS WAS 5 MINUTES BEFORE HE BROUGHT US one $45.00 bill, and one $50.00 bill. Did I mention the manager brought the two birthday boys, my husband and brother 2 FREE DESSERTS? I guess that was what the $95.00 was for, the FREE DESSERTS....I review a lot of places, generally I do not have an experience worthy of such a poor review, oh this place did change its name to the Pour House, yes, this review will also be posted there for your viewing...
Read moreSo disappointed!! I usually love the Pour House and usually their Indian food is usually amazing, but the last couple times I have been there the food has been mediocre as best! Went there Sunday 11/19/2023 and let’s just say I was less than satisfied. I ordered an OJ for my grand daughter and when the brought it to me it was a light yellow color and tasted like water so I told the guy it tasted like water so he checked the machine and basically told me “it’s orange juice” and he started to take the glass back and then said “go ahead and keep it I will take it off your bill it’s on the house” (like I’m going to allow my grand daughter to drink nasty colored water” another waitress goes to get a glass of OJ and he tells her “I don’t think it’s working, he looks again and said “the OJ is out” (so he didn’t see that when he opened the first time to get me my OJ?) so then I proceed to order my food and I ordered pompadam (sp?) and chicken curry MILD, he tells me that is no problem. My son ordered a burger and fries, so he brings me my pompadam out and IT’S BURNT, I’m talking obvious burnt edges and brown. Well I took one bite and it even tasted burnt, why would he bring out food that is obviously burnt and serve it to a customer like that? Does he think I am stupid and wouldn’t notice? So he brings out my curry chicken and the garlic naan I ordered. The curry was SPICY! I’m talking burn my mouth spicy. At this point I have had it with the whole experience. I told him to take the pompadam off my order because it was burnt. My son said the burger and fries were gross, the rice, which is normally white rice, was white and yellow mixed together and dry. The curry was very hot and the whole experience was very dissatisfying. After the juice and the pompadam was taken off my bill was still $45 the only thing that tasted anything like it should was the naan. Now let me say I go to the pour house often and get the Indian. I don’t know if they got a new cook or what but it blows my mind that they would actually serve yellow water and call it orange juice and burnt food. That is just crazy to me. That is now 2xs I have gotten horrible food from there and they have to take more pride in the food they serve and/or get a new waiter and cook. It’s sad how restaurants will start off with really good food then as time goes on they stop caring even though it is because of customers they even have a business. It will be a long time before I go back there and if/when I do I hope they have a better cook and better service. I also should add by time I got home I was in the bathroom bringing it...
Read more(Hopefully the owner will read and truly consider my review). Been staying with a friend in Pahrump for a few months. Been to Pourhouse a lot over the past 3 months (but stopped going). I estimate I spent an average of $90 each visit, nearly $3 grand total. I did this mainly because the atmosphere was good and most servers very cool, and theres not much to do in Pahrump. I've been to MANY sports bars all over the place. Here's my honest opinion
SERVERS: There's a few really good one's, nice and attentive. Sadly, one server made us feel bad on several occasions, about complaining our orders were frequently wrong...or over an hour late. (NO offer to comp or reduce cost of wrong or very late order). Important to note: the place was not busy when mistakes happened.
FOOD: On some occasions its good...and on some occasions it's wrong or very average. If you try and substitute "beware"...very high chance it will be forgotten or completely wrong.(This is an employee training issue...solvable).
Wine selection is poor. You can get better wine at CVS!
ENTERTAINMENT: What little is offered...is HORRIBLE!!! Best thing they offer is Karaoke on Saturday...whoop de doo! The owner recently advertised live band on weekends. Apparently tried it once...but some guests complained becuse it was too loud during dinner ( "WHO" has a band play that early during dinner?? No wonder they complained). A live band after 8 PM would bring lots of business...this is common sense!
The background music is poor. It should have a great mix of the popular genre's We more often than not, hear the same music on ecery visit.
If the owner truly wants to know what guests think...give out surveys to the guests...see what your guests "need" ...
This place has the BEST potential of any sports bar Ive seen in Pahrump by far...however, i wont be back until the owner pays attention to the real pulse of what patrons expect at a sports bar. His lack of business proves "changes" need to be made. I hope he turns it around, then...
