City Shoe Shop — Local services in Palestine

I’ve taken customers there a few years back, when I drove a bus. I never knew of the Texas tradition the City Shoe Shop had. I knew I needed my boots stretched because I had them for over a year and wore them 4 times. They sat in my closet. My foot wouldn’t go in easy any longer. The gentleman in the shop was very busy tending to others shoes. He came up and said he’d try to stretch them but don’t expect a miracle. The lady gave me a ticket and called me when they were done. They were both very nice yet professional and obviously took special care of their customers. I noticed they sell belts, boots and lots of things about shoes. When I got home I watched a tv show about Texas historic places and the stories that go with them. Guess which historical landmark they were showing……The City Shoe Shop. Now that’s Texan.
