Wawa — Restaurant in Palm Coast

Used to be a great place to get hoagies, smoothies, etc. Placed a decent sized order tonight for pick up, arrived right on time. There was a woman behind the counter running all over getting orders ready while two other people behind the counter didn’t do anything so I patiently waited with my daughter as to not rush her more. After she (found out her name was Crystal) called out a few orders she looks at me and very rudely asked “are YOU waiting for something?” I told her I was waiting for my order and gave her the number. She starts slamming my food on the counter in front of me in tiny bags (one sandwich wasn’t even placed in a bag because it wouldn’t fit). I asked for a large paper bag that was next to her on the counter to be able to carry everything easier and she yelled at me that “only deliveries are allowed those bags and to ask a cashier for a plastic bag.” This place used to have great management and run so smoothly. Guess that’s gone. Rude people like Crystal shouldn’t work with the public if she can’t be at least decent. Horrible horrible service. If she was that swamped she could have asked the other behind the counter who weren’t doing anything...

Im from NJ so I love that Wawa has made its way south! My reason for the 1 star for the atmosphere is beacause of the Cane Corso that walks in with its owner with no collar - no leash. Wawa is not Pet Smart and this was not a service animal. I've seen this man with his large dog come into this Wawa a few times now and NONE of the staff has said one word. You can rewind the security tapes to 8/3/25 @ 10:54 to see for yourself. Also, why are the young people allowed to loiter at the gas pumps (not getting gas) BLARE their music so loud that you can hear it clear as day inside the building and while you are outside at the tables trying to eat you can't even hear the person talking to you who is only a foot away?? Corporate office needs to support their management in putting a stop to some of this unnecessary activity. Its over the top. I placed a mobile order #603. I went inside and there was a girl behind the shake and coffee counter. She looked upset and miserable. She came over and I told her I was picking up my order and she pretty much responded to me in a condescending tone because I didn’t realize I had to pay before I grab the food. I thought I had to get the slip in order to pay so I went over to the cash register there was nobody there and then I walked around the store for about five minutes looking stupid and there was nobody around so I left and I won’t be coming back. Customer lost. The cherry on top is I just work 10 hours and was super busy all day on the line cooking food and didn’t really get to eat myself and was looking forward to my black beans and rice and protein it’s nice that I hold myself to a higher standard when it comes to cooking everybody’s food but then when I go to a convenience store just to get some food...
