Lift to Rise — Local services in Palm Desert

Very bad organization they only work for the tennants. Landlords suffer with this organization. Tennants are always right and landlords are treated anyway and are kicked to the curb. My sister is going through hell to get her rent from the tennant who have been her house from October to now only paid $1400 for the time period. The tennants are also very rude calling cussing my sister out. They owe her $7600 and lift to rise found all kind of excuses not to pay her. These tennants as stressed out my sister. The rent is used to pay the mortgage. Legal actions will have to be taken for both the tennant and lift to rise. Because a simple mistake which my sister made on the form of the amount owing she also sent email to proof it was a mistake in amount on form to lift to rise now they are trying to deframe...

I do not know who is doing the hiring over there, but they need to find people who are smarter and more considerate. I asked a them question and one of their reps gave an answer that was completely inaccurate - one that is not in any written bill or on any government website. He could not give me any justification for his answer. He said that he would send me an email with a link where I would find that he was correct. Big surprise- the email never came. Today I called Fair Housing with the same question and the legitimate answer contradicted everything they told me!!! I know the Covid rent relief bill is new, but you would think the people at Lift to Rise would know the laws and guidelines. If they don’t know an answer, they should not make one up! These are peoples LIVES they are affecting....

I've been through the wringer in this past year.... This year has tested me in my ability to trust in my faith trust in people and remind me not to give up. I came to the point where I was faced with the possibility of being homeless, not being able to pay my bills and rent became a reality....

I had given up on all hope. When I had no stars left to wish upon and nothing to hold on to, "Lift To Rise" held out a lantern for me.
