The Golf Center at Palm Desert — Local services in Palm Desert

Super fun & friendly - this is the place to introduce friends & family to golf! A nice (but small) driving range means you might be taking time to do some warm-up stretches waiting for a space to open. Palm Desert Golf Center is a very compact par three that plays in under two hours, even for duffers like me. I appreciate that they maintain the greens with a couple of cuts of rough in order to help new players get ready for how that plays on larger courses. The staff couldn't be any more friendly and accommodating - the sport of golf would not be in decline if everyone relaxed and enjoyed themselves like these folks! They don't take tee times, just drop by and play, it couldn't be any easier than that. Count me a fan! Pro tip One: play right on this course. On the way out, you really don't (understatement) want to be searching for balls in the dry river bed adjacent to the course - on the way back you are teeing-off next to back fences of homes along the course - so definitely stay right! Pro tip Two: the golf pros at Palm Desert Golf Center are excellent & friendly - just go up and talk with them! There are several options available, including play-a-round with pros in order to give you a near Golf School experience. Bring your own water bottles and food, there is none available at this pro shop. And definitely, bring the little ones (there were six and seven-year-old First Tee Mini Tigers out there today) and have a blast getting them...

I’ve been here many times and had a nice time at normal hours. Tonight, the website claims it closes at 10pm, but google says 5pm? And the website says Friday the 7th it’s closed for an event, but it seems they are also closed the Thursday before. I like going here, but the inconsistent times...
