Fantasy Balloon Flights — Local services in Palm Desert

Our flight was good we enjoyed our host was informative. But it all changed we landed on the 18th hole of a golf course. His crew was lost and our landing did not go well. Golfers came over to help as well as a young boy from the ride. The basket was on its side with us in the basket. They had to pull on the ropes to get the balloon to the side. Golfers came to help us get out. This was an experience still did ok. The host did not have his cell phone he left it so he could not call his crew. He used our friends phone to call his wife to get the crews numbers. Also cont to uses our friends phone. His crew was stuck in the middle of the dessert. Several people came to make sure we were ok. When I say stuck they were in sand so deep the four wheel drive pick up could not get out. So we walked about a half mile to the club house. His wife was coming in another van to get us. We went to the bar we each ordered something to drink inc the other two passengers the host and the five of us. When it was time to leave the owner host did not offer to pay the bill our friend paid 60.00forthe other two passengers and the host with ours. We had left our purses in his van when we took off per his suggestion he said his crew would keep them safe. Well the crew is stuck in the dessert so we have to locate them. It is now dark he walked a mi in to get the in this field. We did not have the feeling of the personable host any longer after the landing. We at last retuned to his family restaurant it was time to pay.so the 190.00each was paid. NO THANK you sorry for the mishap and lateness, no champagne as was to be. No offer for anything from the restaurant he ran the credit cards in the parking lot. We understand he was upset with the crew but we felt this was not the proper way to run his business as a business man. We understood but not a word to us. We were two hours late in getting back...

I would not recommend this company to anyone. 1st we had to contact them to confirm our trip. After contacting them, we were advised we would start 30 mins later than the scheduled time. She stated she would send us instructions on where to meet. She did not until I contacted her again 2 hours before the flight. 2nd the landing was HORRIBLE. The pilot yelled for the ground crew not to grab the basket and they did. This caused us to bounce numerous times making my 5 year old fall and hit her head. The pilot starts to scream at the crew and stated they were new and didn't know what they were doing. I paid for an hour flight and noticed we were in the air for 40 min. I called the company to tell them this and about the landing. They lied and said they did not advertise an hour and that I signed a waiver so if my daughter hit her head it was not on them. She then told me if $800 was a lot of money for me, I shouldn't be taking my kids on hot air balloon rides. I informed her, I wanted what I paid for and she said she could give me $40 back. I said no and she offered me $80. I told her I would dispute the charges on my credit card. She was beyond rude and I recorded the call if she tries to lie about that. She also said the pilot said my daughter did not hit her head. Do not waste your money with them. RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and could have seriously injured my child and had no concern for her. We were on vacation for just a week and my cousin referred us to them. He highly recommended them. When I called they were fully booked as it was a last minute reservation. They rearranged their schedule to accommodate us! We loved every single moment of it! The ride was so relaxing, as well as nice and smooth. The view was just breathtaking!! Our pilot Rusty, was extremely nice and knowledgeable; he kept us informed throughout the entire flight. Answered everyone’s questions with ease. We even got to see my cousins house from up above! The breakfast and champagne toast at the end was the cherry on top. What a great experience! The crew was fantastic and Rusty (our pilot) was friendly and so funny. He made the entire experience so memorable....
