If you look at my reviews I generally have good experiences and give good reviews. This is not one of those times. My mother ordered a few things online and was informed that it would be ready for pickup within the hour. She had ordered it at 3:11pm and arrived at the store to pick it up at 4:30 pm giving them more than the hour they said it would take. Upon arrival they were informed by an employee that it wasn't ready and wouldn't be so for about another hour. This employee was very courteous and I wish I got their name because they need recognition. The reason I'm livid at the moment is how the "manager" treated her when we returned about an hour later as we were told to. The manager was very rude and took a tone I wouldn't take with a stranger on the street let alone a customer at my store. He said "we are closed. We can't help you. There's nothing we can do, we are closed, I have 3 minutes to get my people out of the store." My mother had said that she was told to come back at this time by the other employee, to which the "manager" who up to this point had been covering his name badge so that it was not readable, said "you can cancel the order." My mother asked how she could get her money back as she needed the items she ordered for tomorrow so she would have to buy it somewhere else. The "manager" responded with "it takes 5-10 days for you to get it back. I don't control the banks so too bad". At this point my mother asked if he was intentionally covering his name tag and he said no and raised his hands above his head and said "my name is Seth and if you have a problem you can look up the number for our corporate". I will never be returning to this location and trust me I go here often as I used to work next door. I understand that people have bad days and that stress is a very real thing when working retail but as a manager you are not only supposed to be able to remain professional and courteous in these types of situations but you are also supposed to set an example for your employees. Is the way Seth treated my mother, who was nothing but polite to him, the way you expect or want your employees to treat your customers? This really needs to be corrected before anymore families decide to stop coming...
Read moreOn Sunday, June 4 around 5-6pm I did a return at Guest Services and the person who did my return apparently knows me. Her name is Darline and didn’t know of her until recently because of my situation. I was on the phone and I was having a conversation with someone on the phone and apparently she sought to know what i was speaking about. Darline knows the person that I rented and she contacted this person and told them what she thought i was talking about. What she said created a reaction to the person i rented to decide to kick me out of the property. Now, with that being said, that was a traumatic situation for me because I am a single mom and who recently moved to Palmdale with my 1 year old. I had a good relationship with this person that I rented. It was a friend that was renting me and because of this false accusation (I don’t know what she said) I lost my housing. Now i have to go through the process tenant rights because of her accusations. I am so concerned with Target and how they are allowing employees like her to treat customers. This was not cool that this employee would give out information of me while customers interaction at her job. This situation could’ve gotten worse because what if my renter seek revenge to whatever was said in my name. My daughter and I could be at risk because this situation is horrifying. This is a Target where I frequently do all my shopping and I just think this was totally disrespectful. My question is can all employees just exchange information about Target’s customers. Is that normal? What’s Target ethnic or values to their customers? I deserve an apology and assurance that this will not happen to me or no...
Read moreOut front they've established a system of stop signs which I do respect every time and feel could be improved, as some motorists-soon-to-be-pedestrians do not respect. I've personally experienced other cars passing me in rage as if this was a freeway, or inpatient people about me driving slowly, then stopping as it should be. It's not a question of if, but when someone will get run over. May be a posted warning sign of a hefty fine and a max speed limit might discourage speedsters. A best approach would be confining the Target parking area and redirecting Home Depot's traffic over to the next available wider roadway closest to 47th street East, Another issue is security. Mobile, cart mounted security pods like the ones located in other shopping malls are warranted. My son's car was stolen off the Target parking lot, which is bad enough for me. At another time we witnessed a person dumping a large amount of trash out their car's door and onto the pavement. I couldn't find the security guard to denounce. Such actions affect us all. It might be time to increase the vigilance, as not everyone is on-site to spend money. Once you've made it alive across the front roadway and into the store, guests are sometimes greeted by uniformed security guards which appear to be trying to intimidate you, the paying customer. I ignore them and do my shopping, wait in line at one of the manned cash registers which are scarce, the unmanned ones are abundant, and the wait time to pay and leave is long. Sometimes I run into a pleasant-to-deal-with employee, and the good part has been a no thrills returns process. Prices are higher than other brands, but the ambiance feels more...
