According to this location. Kids do not eat free between the hours of 430pm and 10pm. I went for dinner last night. Told the waitress Emily that we wanted the special I've heard all my adult life. She looked at my table judged my party and said all the kids will not eat free because we were a party of 2 adults and 3 children. I told her I only had 1 child and was paying separately from my friend. My friend had a toddler and was going to pay for her pre teen. However we were judged by looking at us. I ordered my meal no tomatoes and all the sauces that were to be on the burger on the side. My burger came out with tomato and not one sauce on the side. My child ordered a happy face pancake which on the menu clearly has a photo chocolate chips in the pancake. When arrived it was a plain pancake. Emily did not ask our preference nor explain it would come out differently then the photo. When I asked for ketchup and the sauces that were to be on the side she said she'd return with it and brought out food to four other patrons around our table while I sat and watched my food get cold. Normally, I do not add ketchup to fries however to cover the overly salted fries it was necessary. At the end of our meal Emily came out with a bill of 95.00. We were astonished because we mentioned at the beginning to separately bill us. My friend asked her why she charged her for the toddlers kids meal. Emily answered the waffle, eggs, hashbrown and sausage you ordered was not an entree and you need to pay for your toddlers meal. When asked for a supervisor between her numerous phone calls in which we could clearly see her on the resturants land line near the kitchen numerous times. She replied " no supervisor or manager call in the morning " never have I ever seen a establishment with no supervisor. She abruptly turned and walked away. When I spoke to another worker and asked for a supervisor and told her the issue. She clearly told us she had nothing to do with our table. There was nothing she could do and she knew nothing! I've never had this treatment in an IHOP in my 44 year on this earth. I seriously believe why were treated so rudely was of the color of our skin. Everyone else in the restaurant was of the same color as the staff and were clearly treated with respect. If I want IHOP again I will make the trip to 10th street west. If you want to be unjudged and treated with respect do not eat here. They do not honor their national kids eat free with the purchase of an adult meal. Treat persons of different races unfair. Tell you mangers or supervisors are not on location or premises when you ask for authority. I give...
Read moreso I've been in this location 2 times for dine in and 3 times for take out... when I tell you the service is really bad, I mean really bad the servers have a terrible attitude... my two dine visits were the worst I have had at any ihop... the servers don't help you you need to be behind them in order for them to help you... they are in the kitchen half of the time chatting it up... the first time I went it took me over 25 minutes to get helped after we sat on a table... the second time our server brought our food and was never seen again... this being said I decided to not deal with the service at this location and order takeout, thinking I was going to have a better experience.. boy was I wrong... my first order took way over 20 minutes after the time it was suppose to be ready... restaurant was empty and servers once again wh were in the kitchen chatting and another one in the front scrolling on her phone.... I decided to give it another try today... I placed my order online at 4:30 and it gave me the option for curbside pickup at 5:10 or 5:25... I obviously chose 5:25 so they won't be in a rush and my food would be ready.. as my wife arrived at 5:35 and having to get out of the car so that she can pick up the food because of the fact that she was waiting and no one had the courtesy to let her know the order wasn't ready, she walked in the restaurant just to get told she has to wait again.. I call the store and the girl whom picked up the phone had the worst attitude even abruptly putting me on hold without notice... the order was suppose to be ready at 5:25 and was relieved by 5:45, 20 minutes after the time I expected... the server act like they are paying for the food, meaning service was terrible(I'm in the service industry myself and would be super embarrassed to act this way with customers) what's the point of curbside pickup if we still have to get out of the car... and what's the point of ordering online an hour before if you're still going to have to wait 20 minutes inside the restaurant....I would like to come back someday as me and my family love ihop but for now I think we will be looking for a different...
Read moreWe will not be going back. The food wasn't very good, and one dish made someone sick. The waitress was really nice, once we actually got one, but we had to ask three or four times before we got everything we ordered. After the hostess had seated us we waited for over fifteen minutes without anyone coming over to us at all. We finally asked the hostess who would be working with us and then she took our drink order and went to figure it out. That is when we meet our very nice waitress. She did bring us everything we asked for, after some repeated requests and a very funny accidental flinging of bacon. (She turned around too fast and the bacon slide off the plate and went flying. We all had a bit of a chuckle out of it, since it landed right by my sister, the one person who is allergic to bacon. And she brought more immediately.) Unfortunately, my orange juice (one of the items that had to be requested multiple times) was bad. The juice had gone off and was starting to sour. Also, my sister's strawberry cheesecake pancakes, were undercooked and gooey. They were apparently supposed to contain cheesecake bites, but either didn't have any, or had them melted into it or something, as we couldn't find any. The burger that was ordered was not bad. Though it was a bit overcooked and under-seasoned. I have been sick to my stomach since shortly after trying the orange juice and my sister was literally sick from her pancakes shortly after getting home. We wanted to try this IHOP since we hadn't been before, but will be sticking to Denny's or Chelly's...
