Will be Baaacck* Never heard of this place, stumbled on it by accident. Well the long a* line got my attention. While waiting in line I googled it to see what the hype was, and long story short its supposed to have amazing hotdogs. Well the hotdogs in my opinion were okish but in all fairness im not a big hotdog fan. You can soup it up all you like but it's still a NO go for me. The people I was with did enjoy their dogs I watched in amazement as they stuffed their faces with thick weiners loaded with condiments, extra ingredients and special sauces. One of my friends almost choked but at the last minute controlled their gag reflex but thats a story for another time, keep in mind we were in Vegas lol. The fries were good borderline aight. But anyways they had street corn that was EVERYTHANG!!! I got right back in line while eating my street corn. I was tearing them things up in line! People were trying to be polite and not look at me. I know I was making questionable sound effects and I was abit messy but I didn't care them things was good and hot!! I couldn't eat them fast enough! I had the regular and the flaming hot one on a stick. The second time I got two in a cup and two more on a stick. IMO the stick ones taste better than the cups. I feel like something is missing when in the cup flavor wise. But anyways I paid dearly for it later and I do mean dearly! I tipped housekeeping well but till this day I wonder if it was enough. But it was dmn sure worth it!...
Read moreThis small little hot dog stand throws down big flavors. The fries were made fresh to order, and seasoned perfectly. They weren't dripping with grease and had the right amount of crunch especially when holding the toppings. I ordered the DUI fries that were topped with pastrami, carne asada, bacon bits, cheddar cheese, and Chipotle aioli. I had them add pickled jalapenos and sour cream as well because I'm extra and my inner fat boy called out for this. Who am I to deny him? The results were grand! The flavors worked extremely well together.
I also wanted some elote (Mexican street corn) AKA corn on the cob. However, Mexicans jazz corn on the cob it up with various spices, cheeses, toppings, lime juice, etc., I wanted to try a hot dog too so I fed two birds with one scone (as the PETA friendly saying goes) and picked up the Elote Dog. This was a 100% premium all beef Nathan's 5/1 dog, wrapped in center cut bacon, on a perfectly buttered lobster roll topped with Elote (corn, lime mayo, cotjia cheese, chili powder, cilantro) and freshly fried bacon bits. This hot dog is worth the stop. Superb. Aces.
The ladies were friendly. There were some chairs and tables to sit at, but there wasn't much room. luckily we got there when they first opened and it wasn't quite busy, but there was a steady stream of customers from the time we arrived.
If you find yourself near a Dirt Dog I recommend you...
Read moreFirst time here, stopped by because of all of the recommendations on the "things to eat in vegas" type videos on YouTube.
Got there around 10, they were out of the fried oreos and a few other things. It's a pretty small venue in an alley full of shops.
Ordered the Eloté dog since the snoop dog hot dog was not on the menu anymore. For an additional $3 they made it "X Grade" which means they put about 25 cents worth of takis and hot cheetos powder on top.
Total was about $16 which is the most expensive hot dog purchased in my life so far, which I was expecting considering this is Vegas; unfortunately it wasn't really worth it.
After a 30 minute wait for someone to make a single hot dog and put cheese and cheetos on it, I got my hot dog and realized everything except for the hot dog was cold. The cheese, corn, etc.
This is the type of hot dog that would be really really good if you made it yourself while drunk at 4am using nothing but salvaged ingredients from around the house, but as a highly-rated Vegas Must Try it doesn't seem to live up to the hype.
Maybe it'll be...
