This is a review for a package rental that we placed with Cindy's Jumper. We rented a combo slide jumper, five tables, 40 chairs, and a popcorn machine. I was hesitant to work with Cindy's this year due to a not so great experience last year (they arrived late, when the party was starting, and forgot the popcorn machine, which they then retrieved an hour into the party). But because their website was relatively simple to work with, I thought I would give them one more shot. Boy, was I wrong to do so.
We had a rental time frame from 10am to 6pm this past Saturday. They arrived an hour late - that was somewhat OK, as the party was starting at 12. However, they forgot two tables, and that was pretty major, as we had a large party to seat. The driver said he would be back in 15-20 minutes with the tables, and I was like, OK. That didn't happen. 12pm came, still no tables. Call log from my phone: 12:09pm: I called, asking what's up. The guy says he's stuck in traffic on the freeway, and will be there in 20 minutes. I hang up, check Google maps, there's no traffic. Clearly lying. 12:34pm: I called again. Still "stuck in traffic" he says. I tell him there's no traffic and hang up on him. Lying again! 12:36pm: He calls me back, says he'll be there soon. 1:00pm: He calls again, says he has the tables. 2:05pm: He calls again to say he's arrived with the tables.
Finally here with the last two tables, fours hours after the appointed time, three hours after the initial visit, and two hours after the party has already started. I had people sitting on chairs facing each other like some version of musical chairs. I was so mad and embarrassed. I was complaining and venting about the company to our guests, which is not something that I really want to do during my son's birthday party, but hey, word of mouth?
So if that wasn't bad enough, then we had issues about having everything picked up. Back to the call log: 6:00pm: Driver calls, asks if everything is OK, and asks if we would like extra time with the jumper. I say, I don't care about extra time, I just want my money back for the two tables that basically showed up halfway through our party. He's like, OK, I'll take care of it. 8:55pm: Driver calls back, states that it's too late for them to pick up the jumpers, asks if he's able to come by Sunday morning by 10am. I'm beyond irritated by this point, but OK.
Sunday morning rolls around. 10am rolls around. No sign of a pickup or phone call.
At 1:50pm, I call the main office (I don't want to talk to the driver anymore - he might be "stuck in traffic"). I explain the situation to the person who answers the phone, he says he'll see what he can do. Still nothing happens. At 4:01pm, I call the main office again, speak with another person (warehouse manager?), and while I'm complaining on the phone again, the crew finally arrives to pick up the jumper and stuff. He also gives me $10 in cash for the table situation, and says it won't happen again. I basically state that I will not use their company again.
So W O W. Talk about dropping the ball. I will never use this company again. Burned once, burned twice, and I will definitely not give you a chance...
Read moreIf zero stars were an option that would be the true rating for this company. This is probably the worst company I ever had an encounter with. The lady they have as their customer service/front office person should not be representing this company. The way she speaks to people, raising her voice, cuts you off when you speak and cusses out you is not a way a company should be represented. And because I “pissed her off” she canceled me order which now ruins our kids party. They requested a copy of the renters ID and a copy of the permit from the party which by her own admission was sent in last week to the owner while she was “out of the office”. When she returned back to the office the owner was “incapable” to forward her the email. So when we went to try and pay the deposit the website would not allow us to pay. So we called on Monday during business hours to see why we couldn’t pay. The lady responded because we never responded to her direct email she sent requesting the ID and permit. When we told her we did she said “you didn’t send it to me directly it was send to the owner”. Ok, but it was sent to the company I’m sure the owner can forward it. Then she went on to say she needed insurance information from the city when again that is not true she needed to provide the city with the COI. She dropped the ball and did not want to take accountability for how she was speaking to me or how she handled the situation. We requested multiple times to speak to the owner since he was the one who actually would help us and every time in this process when we spoke to the lady she would contradict what the owner would tell us and say they couldn’t do it. She said well I am canceling your order so it doesn’t matter if you speak to the owner or not. Seems like she doesn’t like to more work helping new customers that are having a party in a park. So unless your party is at a home where no additional work needs to be done by her I do not recommend using this company because she just makes up rules as she goes and is very rude and...
Read moreEdit: the picture attached is the response from the company. After calling several times and telling the office staff multiple times what happened and getting zero responses I sent an email asking for a refund. He states that the attendant tried to explain the inflatable however she did not speak English. They were 20 min late not ten. As far as breaks and such it’s up to the employer to give the appropriate phone numbers and ways to communicate with the pta when on site. They were not entitled to free food and drinks. So their public response was just fabricated to look good to the public. Don’t be fooled.
We hired Cindy’s for our school carnival. The setup crew did a good job, but we also paid $1,200 for attendants to supervise two inflatables (Hungry Hippos and Human Foosball), and that’s where everything went downhill.
The attendants arrived 20 minutes late, strolling in with Starbucks in hand. They did nothing to help the children understand how to use the inflatables safely. At one point, one attendant disappeared for 35 minutes, leaving the inflatable completely unattended — even though these were elementary-age children who clearly needed supervision.
To make matters worse, a child’s hat went missing, and when he went to look for it, the attendant was wearing it — a sweaty boy’s hat! When he politely asked for it back, she acted offended, as if he was in the wrong.
Later, I walked over again because some children were playing unsafely, and the same attendant was sitting at the entrance on her phone, completely ignoring what was happening.
We paid $1,200 for the worst attendants we’ve ever had. The office staff has been unresponsive to our complaints, which is unacceptable. We host a large carnival every year, and this was our first and last time using this company.
We absolutely deserve a refund of our $1,200 — we did not get what we paid for.
