My name is Tom Isenberg (Howard Jay is just a name I use on Google Reviews). Dr. Talishinskiy ("Dr. T") of Advanced Laparoscopic Associates recently performed a colon cancer operation on my Mother which involved removing a large section of her colon.
Dr. T is beyond excellent. He was patient and caring throughout our experience, from our first meeting to the follow-up appointment. He carefully explained the surgery and patiently answered all our questions. His "bedside manner" and demeanor is confident, intelligent and extremely reassuring while being honest with the risks of the procedure.
On the day of the surgery, in the pre-op room, Dr. T and his team was again just perfect, explaining everything and answering every question kindly and thoughtfully. Most important, the surgery went perfectly, "Plan A" as Dr. T told me afterwards in the family waiting area. Dr. T came out after the surgery and explained how it went calmly and confidently which was just the reassurance I needed.
The staff at Advanced Laparoscopic is excellent. They took care of all the details of the preparation and led us through the necessary pre-admissions testing and physician letters we would need. They are really on-top of things and operate as a well-oiled machine so to speak, which is very important when a patient is scared and new to the whole system.
I highly recommend Dr. T and the staff at Advanced. He is an excellent surgeon and a thoughtful, caring physician. The entire experience was really perfect in all ways, especially since his surgical handiwork was so successful. Thank you Dr....
Read moreI called this office at the end of march to make an appointment and gave all of my information (including insurance). I attended the seminar you are required to attend before a consult on May 14th where I made an appt with dr. trivedi and AGAIN gave my insurance information. His next available appointment was June 12th, so I took the appointment. This morning (THE DAY BEFORE), I got a call that there was an issue with my insurance and suddenly my insurance wasn't accepted. I then called my insurance and was told it could be covered with out of network benefits and that the office just needed to call and give then CPP codes and they could work it out. I called the office back where the secretary or whoever answered the phone was very rude and made me feel extremely dumb for not understanding what she was saying and told me it still wouldn't be covered and she would cancel my appointment, instead of trying to help me make things work out. I have waited over a month for my appt, missed work for the seminar, and now, THE DAY BEFORE, you are rude and are calling me to tell me my insurance won't work when I have given you all of my information twice before and all was fine but now suddenly it isn't? Why isn't insurance information I have given twice before run through and checked before the day before my appointment? I am very disappointed and will now be going elsewhere and would tell my friends and family to...
Read moreIf I could give no stars I would. My mother had her appendix removed in January ( it was an emergency surgery). We received a bill for $16,000 because the staff, Brittney and Lydia refused to acknowledge their mistake and place it as an emergency surgery because the doctor was out of network. We have called them for months on end and my mother called today to ask and plead with them to call our insurance and say that it was an emergency surgery as she was in the ER with a ruptured appendix and could not choose her surgeon. Lydia said " I called the insurance and they said that you have to pay it out of pocket." When my mother called the insurance back, the claim agent said that no call was ever made by the billing department despite the fact that we called Lydia and Brittney multiple times in the past 7 months. Now they send this bill to collection and they keep on essentially saying to my mother tough luck without any care to the fact that this would drain her financially and cause her to be bankrupt over a decision that she did not make. This has got to be the worst experience ever. It has caused us tremendous stress and despite the fact that Dr. Wong was a very good surgeon and took care of my mother I have taken all the recommendations that I made to my friends and family to visit...
