Thumbody — Restaurant in Paramus

Visited before starting our roadtrip to grab some snacks and coffee to have on the go - and it was a great start!

It makes me happy to have learned about them from my cousin, he apparently learned from them on tiktok - otherwise I dont think we would have ever found out about them 😅 because they are not really that visible -

The atmosphere of the place is pretty simple and cool, clean, colorful, with glass walls, plants and music... it makes you feel very good and relaxed.

The service was very good, the bartender was very shy or serious, but also, very respectful - the girl working with him was very charming and bubbly and her happiness was very contagious.

They have a huge selection of vinyl records I believe are for sale, even a room just for them! Great part if their inspiration for their interior design seems to come from these records and music and also, something that was very conveniente for us - they are pet friendly.

I had a cortadito, and it was actually very good - for some reason i find it very hard to find good coffee in nyc, so - it makes me very happy to have learned about them :)

My husband and I shared a chicken mediterranean wrap with salad - because we didn't want to feel so full while driving and their wraps looked huged, and it was perfect!

The wrap was so refreshing, clean and well cooked, so tasty! Loved the fact that even if it was a very clean dish, I wouldnt really know how to make myself one of these at home - which is lovely because the food you buy at restaurants should be that special!

The salad that came with the wrap was also very good, clean and tasty - would definitely repeat and order the same :)

Would definitely visit again to try their pastries and recommend...

New Coffee spot alert!! (Ah well maybe im just late lol)

It was tricky locating this shop at first especially since I didnt know where the entrance is exactly to Rothman Orthopaedics. Thumbody is located at the lobby. If you enter from the “covered/reserved” parking area, the doors will lead you straight to the lobby but if you came from Edge therapy, use the stairs to go down and you’ll find the cafe just right by the entrance doors on the right.

Today I tried their Hulk latte which us a mix of ube and matcha. It was delicious! Like icecream lol if youre more into espresso and prefer that bitterness of coffee this may not be for you as it is on the sweeter side. I loved it though!

I also got the ube cheese pan de sal; it had a nice flavor and i enjoyed the cream cheese. There is some grittiness to it which may be from dehydrated purple yam or ube powder (my guess only!) which i didnt mind at all. It added some texture actually. I’ll get those again.

I was happy to have met Audrey and Marcus today-both were very friendly and pleasant. Answered my questions and shared to me how Thumbody came about. Started December 2021 and opened to the public January 2022. They shared that Thumbody is all about inclusivity and that we are all “somebody/thumbody”!!
