Lets start with this i do not know why kohls would even hire such racist people.. i have never been in a store where there was such discrimination against me because i am black... i went to the customer service desk brought a tv on sale for 420$ the lady at the desk already seem like it was a problem to help me and sister ...the lady took every bill i gave her and held it up to the light drastically trying to see if it was fake then she writes on it to confirm that its real! I then tried to apply for a khols card she tells me that i have to have a major credit or debit card in order to do so. I know thats not even the process but she was just asking because i was black. I went down stairs and asked another associate what i need in order to apply for a card she tells me only my id and the customer who was at her register was also applying for the card she said they didnt ask her for anything but her id! And she was white so they didnt feel the need to ask her for a major debit or credit card. I ended up not even applying for the card my sister did and she got approved for 1k which isnt even that much... Keith from jewerly who is also white takessss her shopping pass crumbles it and throws it in the garbage!!! And says that she has to wait 5-7 business days for the actual card because people dont usual get approved for so much they only get approved for 300-400$ and that for security purposes that they no longer give out shopping passes!!! Which is soo crazy because the white lady got her shopping pass and was able to shop on the spot but because im black i couldnt use mine!! Then i called and spoke to somebody in the store she was just basically just giving me the ohh well attitude deal with it!!!! I WILLL NEVER EVERRRR SHOP IN THIS STORE LET ALONE THE COMPANY!!! Read moreI have never been treated so poorly by staff over the phone. I was ordering a crib online and the website gave me a free "gift" to go with the crib. The gift was a mattress. I'm an expectant mother so this was a huge life saver right?! Yeah just kidding I went to go check out and the page said that one of the items couldn't be shipped anymore..... well I guess that free gift couldn't be shipped out. I gave customer service a call spoke to three different staff members who each refused to give me a number of someone that was in charge, such as their manager, a supervisor, etc., they each had a different story of how that was never a promotion, or the promotion just ended [after stating promotions don't end till Sunday.... it was Saturday], or my favorite they just ran out, but we can buy a cheaper [uglier, bad review] crib and have the free mattress.... I explained how doing that is wrong and in fact illegal. False advertising a free mattress to customers. They continued to not care or do anything for us. Kohls is a disgrace to customer service and I would tell anyone to go elsewhere if they're buying a product from them. I would rather spend an extra $50 somewhere else on the same item from a different store than ever buy something from this disgusting store again. Messing with people is completely wrong to do. Read moreThis store is the worst ever Kohl's compared to other's. I went to pick up a online order I placed after getting a text message saying it was ready, Denise the p/u person went to look for my item in the back and told me it had been cancelled and I just bought the items on Saturday and Bergen county stores are CLOSED on Sunday so in all actuality it was only 2 days since the purchase. Denise then went to get Tina the manager to confirm my purchases was cancelled/sent back to stock and when Tina came to me she was totally rude and turned the computer monitor around in my face and was like "see look your order is cancelled period" check downstairs in jewelry with a attitude and walked away. This is totally unacceptable behavior and disrespectful to a customer. Then the stores Assist Mgr. Jonathan who has been a employee since 2004 went to look and within seconds came out with my online purchases in hand. He NEVER apologized to me about the mistake and was very cold and unsympathetic, I told him to return my purchases and know it's truly cancelled. As a Kohl's charge card holder for many years I will never set foot in the doors of the Paramus Rt 4 location and the entire staff needs some CSR retail training ASAP!!!!
