We buy & have purchased a lot from our HomeDepot store in Paris, Texas. Such as: materials and practically, it seems the store. We just 96% almost completed our new home and it took 5 long years, to almost pay, as we built. (Near $260,000 value. Insured for more. Small dept owed and no mortgage due.) We purchased flooring, doors, trim, baseboards, appliances, lights - inside & out, ceiling fans - inside and out, lumber, drywall, a turn key kitchen, bathroom fixtures and vanities, paint, mirrors, decking for attic, screws, blinds, curtains, switches and plugs, door knobs, installation, and much much much more... a whole house; 1,950 sq ft. So now, I am building from scratch all my Closets out of Cedar. Never in my life haven I done any woodwork. HomeDepot experts and U-Tube is how I became an expert. Seriously, I am good at what I do, party because, I am a retired Machinist/Qualify Inspector QA QC by trade. But I owe 100% to Jesus and prayer. I built the living room closet first, because it seemed the least important and small, if I made any mistakes. It was my prototype and I learned much building it. Actually I did real good. Next I conquered our 48” by 48” 9’ tall pantry and did mighty good; build that out of Cedar too, then again our linen closet in our master bath. It had to look nice for no door. Must keep towels folded nicely too, like it is a tool, and a display. Now I am working on our Guest Bedroom and lastly our Master Bedroom. I have the Guest Bedroom closet near done and I am only 88% happy, but I am scared for I would be very very disappointed, if it had been our Master Bedroom Closets. Our Master Bedroom Closet are a good size. I think 10’ by 10’ 9’ tall each. They are carpeted beautifully with nice lighting and AC vents, and very beautifully painted. I want also to use Cedar for our Master Bedroom Closets, but sadly to report HomeDepot’s Cedar lumber is terrible. Beyond description. First place, it does not come from America. I think China or some dumb none caring foreign country. The wood is twisted and warped, cracked, split, bowled, bent, not flat, crooked, ruff, splintered, notched, nicked, and any thing else that can happen to wood that can happen to HomeDepot wood. Not to mention it is sooo expensive. To say the least, one board is more than $36... I swear and dare to say, some pieces looks like pine and not cedar. You don’t know, the countless hours, I have spent digging thru this lumber, standing straight up tall near falling on me and other customers, who are as frustrated, angry, just trying to find one single piece. What is most sickening is some of it does not even smell like cedar. One can only hope. Well I gave it a 3 star and should be a one or none, only because I love HomeDepot and the people who work there. I cannot give a wonderful store that has helped me build a gorgeous affordable, affordable, affordable, home as Pelosi would say, (dumb you know what) home that my wife and I cherishes and are so great full for. The Lord is good. I now pray who ever is responsible for that small important section of HomeDepot can do a CI Continuous Improvement to help the store and customers.

All kinds of home improvement and construction items available. Some items are far more expensive than Walmart, so do some price checking first. The employees seem to be a bit more knowledgeable than they used to. It makes me wonder, if they are that knowledgeable, why are they working a minimum wage job?

This has got to be the laziest bunch of workers I’ve ever laid eyes on. I walk in today, needing 2 products (I’ve spent over 10k in this store from delivery to my house for a remodel in 2 weeks so far but never again). I get to the front, a Hispanic girl says “that’s in xyz isle”. I go to that isle, then go to the self checkout where 2 white females older say “I Don’t know what that is.” I get to another isle, where 2 men that DO NOT WORK HERE HELP ME AND SAY “you will not get helped at all, you look confused, let us help you.” They showed me where I needed to go and asked if I needed anything else (I felt bad for even having strangers help me) then I get to isle 23 and have 2 other men POINT to where I needed roof flashing and say “it’s where the flashing stuff is.” Okayyy??? Where is that???? But ok let me FIND IT ON MY OWN!!!!! Before this, I got a pick up, checked in, bought over 7500.00 in materials and couldn’t even get anyone to come to the door and when they FINALLY did because I knocked on it, they let me, a female, (2 men watched) load my own stuff.

Do I do this everyday ? No

So when I come somewhere that works here part time even full time do I expect help? Absolutely.

5 workers at Home Depot didn’t even try to help me other than pointing a finger.

I will be filing a grievance and pray that all of these workers are fired that is on...

I recently rented a tractor with a backhoe from Home Depot, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely frustrating. The pin in the backhoe got stuck in the parking lot, taking me 1.5 hours to remove it. Then, as I was driving, the pin fell out, and I had to purchase a new one. Furthermore, the machine kept dying, which required me to jump-start it multiple times during the project.

When I tried to use the backhoe, it wasn't operational. I learned from an associate that this was a known issue and the backhoe hadn't been working properly. When I returned the machine, I asked to speak to the store manager, but was told by an associate, Ezra, that no manager was available, and he was the highest-ranking manager in the store. However, I later learned there was, in fact, a store manager.

It's frustrating that I was charged $700 for a known broken machine, and that my concerns were disregarded by the store staff. I hope Home Depot takes measures to ensure this doesn't happen to another customer...
