Agent Sven Englund was a complete disappointment. As someone who lives out of state that was trying to sell an inherited condo, I was relying upon his so called "expertise" and ability to properly coordinate the process.
He rushed my condo onto the MLS and Zillow before it was ready for showing, resulting in more than a month passing before it was prepared for interested buyers to view. Since the first month is the most crucial for generating interest, this severely impacted the marketability and prospects for a quick sale of my property.
When I tried to contact him to get the necessary repairs done so that we could begin showing the unit, he claimed he was "too busy" with his other properties to do so.
His marketing was also terrible—the photos were not professionally done and were obviously taken with his phone.
His strategy at every turn was that I needed to lower the price of the condo.
After nearly six months of little to no activity, I told him I felt it would be best for me to find a new realtor. He refused to allow me out of our listing agreement. Obviously, he has that right---but it is something his future potential clients should be aware of.
When I called his broker, Eileen, to see if she would allow me to work with a different agent from Realty Home Advisors, she initially agreed. However, when she called back the next day, she told me that would not be possible. At that point, I asked her to take the unit off the market, which she agreed to do—but that never happened. This speaks to the lack of communication and unprofessionalism within this company.
Sven also waited until the last day of his contract to inform me that the AC was not working properly, forcing me to scramble to get repairs done in order to prevent mold from developing.
Overall, I would not recommend using this company and specifically Sven Englund for any of your real estate needs.
UPDATE:
Eileen's "response" is complete nonsense. How I chose to handle the probate process has nothing to do with marketing/selling the property and is completely irrelevant.
Furthermore, Sven did not give me the contact information for the handyman until January 28th--more than a month after the property was put on the market, and not in December as you claim. I have included a screenshot of his texts to me as proof of that.
Next, you conveniently ignore the fact that I spoke directly to you in March and told you I wanted the condo taken off the market, and you agreed--and then did not take it off the market. You have no response for that of course.
And your 3.8 rating and abundance of 1 star ratings speaks for ITSELF. Maybe spend a little more time properly running your brokerage and then your former clients wouldn't feel the need to warn your prospective clients about what a terrible job you and...
Read moreRuth Weizman is the worst licensed realtor I have ever dealt with. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! She clearly lacks an understanding of contract law and cannot answer simple questions about the condos she represents (eg Is there a washer & dryer?). The unit ($2100 per month with over $6000 up front) I rented from her client was dirty, tile grout is black when original was nearly white, walls were not repainted, original paint can be seen underneath an old paint job, broken floorboards, wooden floor with gaps between some planks around 1 inch so the subfloor is exposed, and broken screen on the back porch. Ruth also did not make sure the HOA was given my application in a timely manner even though she required the application go through her. In fact, when I arrived from Colorado trying to move in, I was told that the HOA never received my application that was submitted a...
Read moreVery unethical company. I am the buyer in a transaction where they represented the seller. Had an issue with the Title company where i asked the seller's agent to change Title Companies. Seller agent responded that if we did not close with this Title Company I would lose my $5K Ernest money. I asked my realtor to provide name and number for this agent. The agent refused to authorize my agent to give it to me. I looked up her agency number off of the closing documents and called that office. Spoke to Ellie who works in the office. She was not helpful. called back and spoke with Danielle, she was not helpful. They would not provide the agents name. I looked up the broker name, Eileen. Called back several times, "she was always in a meeting". Has not...
