
I am sad to be leaving a negative review since I have been a member of this gym since I was around 12 or 13 years old, and I'm currently 25. This predates the current management. After moving to another state, I canceled my membership in August 2023. However, every 15th of the month since then, I've been charged the membership fee, despite the cancellation. Despite my attempts to rectify the situation by calling, I was repeatedly assured that my membership was canceled and a refund was processed, which turned out to be untrue.
Every time I called, Haley, the manager, conveniently "had just stepped out," and she was apparently the only one who could process my refund. Despite multiple emails to both Haley's personal and business email addresses, I received no response.
During the Christmas/New Year's break, while back in West Boca, I decided to address the issue in person. From the parking lot, I called, and despite seeing both Haley and another staff member working at the desk, my first call was ignored. The second call was answered by the gentleman, who informed me that âHaley had stepped out to get water from CVSâ, even though I could clearly see them both. It should be noted that by this point, they likely recognized my phone number.
Upon entering the gym and confronting Haley, she seemed surprised and claimed not to have seen any of my emails or calls, even questioning if I had the correct phone number. I requested an email confirmation of the refund to be processed, and Haley complied. However, several weeks have passed since that email, and I've decided to proceed with a dispute through my credit card company.
Regardless, whether it's a deliberate refusal to cancel my membership and refund the dues or simply mismanagement, it's absurd for this situation to persist for nearly six months.

Ron, the owner, responded to the review in a good faith effort to address my concerns. Unfortunately, I had initiated a dispute with my credit card company before his response, following several emails with Haley. I used to come to this place before the metal cage was built around the martial arts area and the dance room was never divided with the wall in there...so I feel like I have some legitimate grounds to give you all a proper review. Here it is.
On my last day at this gym, I gave the guy at the counter my termination notice. It was all fine and well until he decided that because I was wearing a particular shirt, that said "warrior" on it, he could give me a hammer and that he would go get another hammer, you know? the tool used for construction? the metal ones not the rubber ones, and we could fight each other with it. Does it seem like a good idea to swing a tool like that at a customer? NOT GOOD FOR BUSINESS.
He could not find one in the tool room, the dude ACTUALLY went looking, so I just got rid of my membership with a smile and I left. I do not know his motives or why he did that. 100% stupid. What if he found it? was I supposed to defend myself? was he actually going to hit me with it? no way the dude still works here, he probably does. Losers. This is just a warning for the next person. Cancel over the phone if you need too. PLEASE DO THAT, YOU MIGHT GET SUPRISE HAMMER TIME. If I ran the place I would definitely put a guy like that on his last legs. One more time? Fired.
I don't know man, I just wanted to delete my membership and move on with my life. Simple. Seems like I made the right decision. The old staff who used to work here were great people. The new little kids need to be re-organized or thrown out. Don't want to work good.

Busy Body is hands down the best âno frillsâ gym I have ever been to. I say no frills because this gym is not for those looking to come to the gym to sit in a hot tub or a sauna for half an hour while you scroll through your phone. Theyâve instead invested their time in money to make this gym functional, with plenty of equipment and space for everyone to workout. They have multiple sets of free weights, tons of benches, awesome cardio machines, plenty of space for activities such as walking lunges or any other exercise that requires you to have ample space for movement. Both the staff and members here are respectful and helpful. In my experience I have learned that the members of a gym almost play a larger role in your experience while there than the staff, simply because in other gyms members will take weights, leave them in a totally different location than their supposed to be so you canât find them, or sit on the same machine for twenty minutes while texting or talking on the phone or in person with their buddy. Donât get me wrong, it happens occasionally, but overall the people that work here and workout here come in to better themselves and not waste time doing anything else. I have made significant progress in the year of 2021 and I strongly believe that the flexible hours, ample equipment and space, and the members and staff at Busy Body played a huge role in that.
