To be clear, my review is solely about the location and not the furniture. We are happy with the bedroom set itself (what we got of it, anyway). That said, the actual experience of purchasing and receiving that furniture was less than satisfactory. Our salesperson, Neil, was friendly enough at first and was eager and attentive. He made it very clear that if there were any issues that we could come to him and he'd be happy to assist in whatever way we need. We left feeling confident in our exchange, even with the few times our information was entered incorrectly. We had hoped everything was thoroughly checked and ready to go. We were very mistaken. Several pieces of information were entered wrong, and we had a couple of phone calls over a few days to rectify it. Missing information on the payment method, incomplete address information, using the wrong phone number for the primary on the account, things like that. On top of all that, a month later we get text and phone calls claiming we didn't complete payment on our deposit. We go back to this location, spoke to customer service who told us about the balance on the deposit and that one of the pieces we ordered wasn't added correctly. We paid the remaining balance, got a delivery date for the missing piece and went on our way. The delivery date came and went with out a delivery. No text, no call, no email. We go back to location, talk to our eager sales guy, Neil. He was not soo attentive this time around, quickly dismissing our need for assistance and ushering us over to customer service. This was the worst experience out of all 3 visits to this place. The woman was sitting in her chair with her back turned to us, seeming unwilling to even address us more than just looking up the account. We tried to tell her about all our issues and just wanted to make sure we resolved it all. She cut me and my partner off several times as we were talking,. She finally decided to get up so she could stand with her arms crossed and roll her eyes at us. The best we got out of her was a new date for delivery, which again, no one notified us of and she says they don't do that. This is odd since the other two deliveries we had had 2 confirmation calls and a few text. We will never buy from this location again, and perhaps never from a Rooms To Go. Once this is paid off we are closing our card and going to someone else. My partner and I are furious and disgusted at this level of poor customer service. Read moreWe were verbally assaulted by a sales associate by the name of Matthew Rocco simply because we chose to move forward with the purchase of a couch with a different sales associate. We initially walked in looking for a tv console and Matthew approached and greeted us. We explained that we were looking for a tv console so he showed us around the store to see a few consoles. We didn’t get a good feeling about him, he was not friendly and so when he asked if we wanted to look around on our own we said yes and parted ways. 10 minutes later, we decided to not buy a tv console at the store but found a sofa we liked and decided to get help with purchasing it. My husband went around the store to try and find Matthew since he originally helped us but he was busy with another customer so we approached Rob, and rob proceeded to help us with the couch. While rob was taking our info to see delivery dates, Matthew came over to him and said “you’re stealing my customers” so Rob kindly said “I wasn’t aware” and he walked away. While Matthew was taking our info my husband whispered to me that he didn’t like Matthew’s attitude and wanted to leave the store. We left, had lunch, and came back to the store and asked for Rob. Matthew saw us and then yelled out TO US “this is BULLSHIT” with several people around. He also said he was going to tell management to which my husband responded “don’t worry I’ll tell them for you” Matthew then stood up and said to my husband “I’m not scared of you”. It was the most unprofessional display of behavior I have ever witnessed in my entire life. Later while we were finalizing our purchase with Rob, Matthew walked by us, got extremely close to me and stared me down without breaking eye contact as if to intimidate me, walked passed us turned around and then walked passed us again, while staring at me again. It was EXTREMELY hostile and again, unprofessional to the utmost degree.
A manager came over to verbally apologize for our experience but it was extremely disappointing that all the management did was verbally apologize, although we went through with the purchase when to be frank, we should have left and not given them our business. They could have at least waived a delivery fee or given us a small discount considering how awful our experience was because of one hostile, disgruntled sales associate. Read moreThroughly unhappy with our sales person Denise. Total scam artist. My fiancé and I purchase a couch from Rooms To Go a few weeks ago. After working with our original salesman, David (who was very pleasant) when we walked in the first time, we came back to finalize the sale. We saw an advertisement for $100 off the couch so we came in looking for that price. We walked in and asked for David but he apparently had left. Enter Denise who was almost too eager to help. We told her that we wanted the sale to go to David since I am in sales as well and know how it all works. We knew what we wanted because of David, he did the work. He deserves the money. We then walked to the couch we had chosen and we asked for the sale price we saw online. She proceeded to “get it approved” and told us the delivery and warranty was included in the sale price. We asked to finance it between the two of us and she belittled me and my fiancé by asking “well who has the better credit score?” She then told us to not even bother to split the finance because the person with the good credit should be the one that benefits from it only… Are you joking!? Anyways after we get approved we asked if we can use the card anywhere. She said yes absolutely it’s a standard credit card. (TURNS OUT… nope only at rooms to go!) She refused to let us look at the invoice before leaving. Only showing glimpses to confirm our personal information. When we get home after racing to an appointment, we finally got a chance to sit down and read the whole invoice. Turns out, she charge us an extra hundred for a warranty we never asked for or agreed to, she charged us an additional $130 for delivery after saying it was included in price, and she wrote it up entirely in her name, completely ripped David off. I hope David reads this and takes this to management. Denise, you are the reason customers think us as salespeople are frauds and only want to take advantage of the customer. The only reason I’m giving this a two star review is because of how great David and the delivery team were. As someone who works in the mattress industry just down the road from your store I will no longer be sending my clients to you for furniture. Couch and David are great but Denise...
