In today's market place it's surprisingly hard to find a business (especially their representatives & support personnel) who actually goes beyond the bare minimum to help a customer. Refreshingly, this is not the case with Light Year Music (LYM)! I was searching for a Karaoke system recently & called a ton of places who mostly seemed uninterested in answering even some of my basic questions. Thank goodness I found LYM. I was absolutely floored & excited that Chuck Polidori (President & main customer interface) not only spent tons of time answering even my most basic (and dumb) Karaoke system questions with patience, kindness, and caring. And, I hadn't even purchased anything yet, nor did I even suggest how much I was willing to spend. In the end, I purchased a great new PC based Karaoke system (at a great bargain just under $2500) with a fantastic KJ user friendly software package with a couple of thousand high quality Karaoke songs already loaded onto the latest HP 17" top quality PC with tons of memory and speed. Chuck knows Karaoke better than anyone I talked to in the market place and he takes his time to make sure your system, mics, mixers, CD's, and other parts of the full system are perfect for you and what you plan to use them for. He even threw in a couple hundred extra songs just as a thank you - who does that? So, in world of BS artists who only want your money and could care less about you, LYM (and especially Chuck) cares about you and your satisfaction with his products and services. I have a saying... "How you get treated up front before the sale is how you can expect to be treated after the sale". None better than Chuck and the gang at LYM. Make them your first stop. Thanks...
Read moreI have 0 % confidence in this company I had the company help me 1 time! Thought they were reliable and stood behind their products. Wrote a good review...well now I have to retract it. Because I would be lying.I can see now THEY DO NOT BACK ALL THEY CLAIM! I have snippets of the issues....I have reached out multiple times. I have called them...sent emails. Windows needs to do a download but it's their login with their password. Response is I should be able to do it myself! The Free DB is no longer in service. So now I can't get the songs put in my system automatically. I have to input every song and artist. I've asked them to give me another one I could download or have them download. So I don't lose the contract that I got when I bought the machine. Next step is the BBB with all the e-mails and depicts of me reaching out...with no response! Just think it could have been handled with one simple response...that's called customer service. About the response. I was going to have the owner make a deal. I called him on the Friday he was going to have an invoice ready. He wasn't there. The one tech I talked to him about, was new. The CDG burner that cane with my machine belonged to another company out of Poland. They couldn't find a license for me. So I went on their website and paid to get the system with the license. They Free DB was how the computer would input all the information. So I didn't have to input all the information song by song. He stated he stands behind the music that comes with my purchase. Read moreI WAS TOTALLY NEW TO KARAOKE EQUIPMENT WHEN I BOUGHT MY SYSTEM FROM THESE GUYS A FEW WEEKS AGO. THEY HAD GREAT FEEDBACK ON EBAY, SO, I DECIDED TO JUST CALL AND LET THEM TELL ME WHAT I NEEDED, AFTER DESCRIBING WHAT I WANTED THE SYSTEM TO DO AND WHAT MY BUDGET WAS. I TALKED TO J.T. ON THE PHONE FOR PROBABLY AN HOUR AND DECIDED WHAT TO BUY. IT WAS A LITTLE SCARY GIVING SOMEONE YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER AND BUYING OVER $2,000 WORTH OF EQUIPMENT THAT I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT AND COULD NOT SEE OR FEEL. BUT IT WAS A WISE CHOICE. THE EQUIPMENT WAS MATCHED PERFECTLY AND WAS EASY TO HOOK UP. AFTER ALL, THIS IS THEIR BUSINESS, WHAT THEY DO, AND THEY KNOW IT WELL. AFTER I HAD IT HOOKED UP, CHUCK G, GUIDED ME THROUGH THE PROCESS OF INSTALLING THE EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE AND DOWN LOADINIG ALL THE NECESSARY THINGS ON MY LAPTOP TO GET IT RUNNING. MY SYSTEM ARRIVED ON FRIDAY AND I HAD PROBLEMS WITH "MY" COMPUTER, (NO FAULT OF THEIRS) AND CHUCK SPENT OVER AN HOUR ON THE PHONE WITH ME AGAIN ON SATURDAY HELPING ME GET EVERYTHING WORKING.
