Walgreens — Local services in Parma

This Walgreens used to be good but all the old staff is gone and replaced with teenagers that aren’t properly trained. Just placed an order for Pictures and 5 magnets which Walgreens advertises it will be ready in 1 hour. Well I picked them up 4 hours later and the magnets still weren’t ready which nbd whatever I waited like 15 min while the girl manager was trying to fix the printer that was jammed but then she disappeared. Finally I just said take the magnets off the order I’ll just pay for the pictures. The boy cashier said that would be fine & he was told to charge me the whole amount and then do the refund on the magnets— I asked are you sure that will work? Because I know there’s no returns on photos. He said yeah. Sure enough, it didn’t work. The manager came over and tried for 10 minutes to do the math on how much the refund it would be. proceeded to ask me for my ID which I didn’t have of course. They should have told me they would need an ID before they even initiated this entire thing. She was trying to say she couldn’t do the refund then…. lol. Which of course I was NOT accepting that answer, I knew she absolutely had to refund me if I didn’t get the product I paid for. I said you have to give me cash then which she said oh I’m definitely not doing that…. I worked management different places for years— that is possible, but whatever. Eventually she was able to type my ID info in manually— thankfully I had a picture of my ID on my phone though. Properly train people before throwing them onto a shift , especially the managers. This place is rough.

Walk in, no greeting. Place is empty, and I'll give them that it is clean. The shelves seem stocked. A worker (not wearing a uniform, manager?) is standing at the photo area with his vaper/vapor/whatever. I really couldn't believe it, out on the sales floor.

Their ice cream selection is pretty rough, they have zero options for lactose intolerant. Maybe the whole store was and I didn't notice, but this was a mess (hard to see in the window). Maybe the workers don't want to get their hands cold, so they don't straighten this up.

As we searched for something, Darth Vaper walked past and went into some punch code locked area. Didn't say a word...he came out, and did something, walked right past and didn't say a word. I would have at least said hello to him, but he looked like he may stab somebody...we left (nothing for me, my companion couldn't find what she needed) and walked past, no one says a word...if I had the same enthusiasm for writing this as they do for working, I wouldn't have finished my...

I like this location and it's staff and the fact they USED to be open 24 hours. It's a shame they have become so unreliable. I'm looking at the Google listing right now and it says "Open Now". Wrong! Second midnight in a row I made a trip to pick up prescriptions and they are closed. Even the pharmacy drive thru was closed. I can kind of understand the issue with finding reliable help, but at the very least, they should update their online status when not open 24 hours and unplug the signs in the windows that advertise being open 24 hours.

The CVS down the street has become my go to late night store. It's a shame because I like Walgreen's much better. I may have to transfer my prescriptions to CVS. Perhaps Walgreens needs to have a discussion with CVS and figure out why CVS is able to hire reliable workers and Walgreens cannot. Apparently Walgreens doesn't care enough about...
