Called store 20 minutes after delivery was promised. Lady who answered phone said it was just picked up and should be there soon. We live 8 streets from the store and expected delivery quickly. Another 25 minutes goes by and still no pizza. My husband calls and can barely understand the man that answered, he said something about needing to refire the pizza. Now it’s 1 hour past scheduled delivery, 1-1/2 hrs since ordering and still no pizza. We drive up to the store and after waiting 5 minutes for someone to help us, we were handed 2 pizzas, and breadsticks without a word. We told the worker we ordered 1 pizza, 1 breadsticks, and 2 side salads, she says hold on and walks away. A man comes up and we explain what happened and he says door dash never picked up the order and the second pizza was remade since the first one was sitting so long. No one told us there was a door dash delivery issue either time we called. He says he’ll give us a discount but we need to put in our credit card. We do this and I look at the receipt, it’s not our order!!! It’s for multiple pizzas that we didn’t order. I tell the worker I paid online and now I paid for someone else’s pizza. He voids my order and crumples the receipt away and throws it in the garbage. I ask to see it and after he digs through the garbage shows me the voided receipt which again is not my order. He then gets flustered asks for my name says he found it and said he voided it. I have not been charged for anything yet, but am not sure what happened and if I am going to be charged twice, once for the online payment and second “discount” payment in store. On top of all of that the pizza was of course cold and breadsticks were burnt. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had. I understand it was not the workers fault for the delivery issues, but would have understood if they actually shared what was happening. The payment/void issue in store makes me not trust Donatos. We do not plan on returning and are now calling it...

After COVID, we started to have problems with food quality, wrong orders, service etc. We stopped going there for awhile then started again after getting crappy pizzas from other places, just was hoping we'd get good food. We'll, sometimes kinda good and sometimes not so good. Last night decided for us that a once good place had become one to take off our list of go-to places. First, the wings that were supposed to have their BBQ sauce came with no sauce or seasoning. Extremely drywith no flavor at all. I called for a refund to which they agreed. Then said I'd see a credit on my next order. I said I did not want a credit but wanted a refund to my debit card. He then told me he could "try" but it was a pain to do. Why?? Gave me 2 reasons:
This is the closest Donato's to me it's over 10 miles away. I usually love their food. I stopped going to this location a few years ago because of burnt food. I recently started going again, in fact, this was my 3rd order in the last few weeks. I ordered a pizza and drove 20 minutes to get my pizza, it wasn't quite ready when I got there. The lady tells me to be careful because there are 2 pieces of paper on bottom of pizza and it might get stuck. She then tells me she forgot to put my extra cheese on the pizza and re-cooked it? I asked if the pizza was OK, she said yes and tilted it towards the drive thru window, i couldn't see it but took her word for it. I get home & open the box, the pizza is burnt, we try to eat it anyways, the paper is stuck to parts of the pizza, it might of been in the oven on the pizza while extra cheese was being cooked on it. We ate a few pieces buy it was inedible, I look at the receipt for their phone number and saw the survey, I went online , filled it out, and gave my contact info for a call back....
