Louis was a dream to work with for our intimate at home wedding. After reading dozens of reviews and visiting his website that showcased stunning wedding photos, I knew that I had to speak with Louis to get a true feel for his style, personality, and experience. Within five minutes of our conversation, I felt confident that Louis was genuine, loved his work, listened well and was responsive to all ideas and questions, was humble yet proud of his abilities and would make my husband and I feel comfortable on our wedding day. While I analyzed his wedding photo gallery looking at the type of photos he takes, my husband only had one request for our photographer: no cheesy corn balls. Our phone conversation proved without question that Louis is NOT a cheesy cornball. :) We spoke, e-mailed and texted before our wedding and went over details, timelines, important people and photos that we would like taken the day of, and he specifically asked for shots that we would like taken. I asked him if he could take a silhouette shot. He immediately sent me silhouette photos that he’s taken and asked if that is what I had in mind. He nailed it! On the day of our wedding, he arrived on time and immediately checked in with me to take some getting ready photos, took detailed pictures in our backyard, and seamlessly drifted around the house capturing big and small details. Once I was in my dress and ready, he gently guided me as he shot the most magnificent pictures. He utilized natural lighting, angles and poses that made me feel more beautiful than I have ever felt in my life. My husband and I had a perfect first look that he orchestrated before our ceremony. The photos showcase our emotion perfectly. We had a private photo shoot afterwards where he took pictures that were both candid and traditional. He has such a natural way about him that helps him get the shot he’s looking for while also making my husband and I feel completely at ease. We took all of our bridal party and family pictures before our ceremony as well. He arranged these photos efficiently! He quickly and miraculously got everyone to look and smile at the same time! Once our ceremony began, he somehow managed to drift into the background and took photos from every angle imaginable. There were countless pictures that I did not realize he took as I had no idea he was in so many inconspicuous positions. Following our ceremony, my husband and I had another photo shoot that was so relaxed, so much so that he even snapped a pic of my husband picking something out of my teeth. And he did it in black and white! We joined our cocktail hour where we took many quick photos with family and friends while Louis also took candid shots of all of the important people we talked about before our wedding and anything and everything that caught his eye. Our reception was under a tent outside and as it started to rain, it did not slow Louis down. He still took gorgeous pictures at night despite the rain. Our guests adored him. Our other vendors raved about him and asked for his contact information. My husband and I are so grateful that we have the photos that he captured to treasure for the rest of our lives....

Having Louis as our wedding photographer was hands down one of the best decisions we made. We got married at the Madison Hotel in Morristown, NJ this past March. Louis was so easy to work with - even during our first phone call he immediately made us feel like we've known him forever. It was such a relief to have a professional wedding photographer who had experience shooting at our venue.

He was very reasonably priced, has a ton of experience which shows in every single photograph he took, and was very responsive.

We didn't do an engagement shoot as we opted for a second photographer instead, and we didn't regret the decision.

The day of our wedding, Louis and his assistant took many photos from different aspects and from both sides of the family. Honestly, we didn't even realize Louis and his assistant were taking photographs for the majority of the day. They got some great action shots that my partner and I didn't personally witness - it was great having these photographs to see how much our family and friends enjoyed our wedding!

Our sneak peak was given to us approximately a week after our wedding, and all of our photographs (definitely well over 1,000 photos) were given to us within a month and a half.

If you're looking for a photographer who is professional, reliable and overall a genuinely great person with a clear passion for what he does, Louis is your guy!

P.S. - Louis is the only photographer I have seen that offers 3D photographs. Trust me when I say this is definitely something you should consider adding onto your package! My partner and I were hesitant at first since we didn't know how a 3D photograph would come out, but once Louis explained to us the process, we were hooked. Our 3D photographs came in a beautiful wooden box carved with our names and wedding date. It is the perfect thing to have on our coffee table and is a great conversation starter. The 3D photographs made me feel like I was reliving our wedding day all over again.

I came across Schroder Photography when searching online for a wedding photographer; I was drawn to Louis’s style – capturing candid moments. In browsing his site, I was impressed with the advice and information he makes available to those seeking a wedding photographer and felt like I already knew who he was by his content. From the beginning, Louis was professional and friendly, grabbing a coffee with my husband and I to discuss what we were looking for in a photographer and giving us the opportunity to be able to see his personality first hand – I was keen to hire someone that I felt could blend in with the party. Louis is beyond flexible, creative, timely, and a just an all-around pleasure to work with. During the wedding, if we wanted to capture a shot with friends or family, Louis or Andrea were there. Louis was also great at finding moments to quickly pull us away to capture more intimate photos and fulfilling our wish list of nightfall photos outside the venue. Following the wedding day, he had preview shots ready for us so quickly and the full collection ready as promised by. And, I must say, there are so many fantastic photos and favorites to chose from. Louis and Andrea did a great job not only capturing us but also capturing all of our guests as well. You cannot go wrong with Schroder Photography for your wedding photographer!
