I purchased a 2007 freestyle, I was told it needs a new water pump, and he was willing to replace it before he sold it to me. I declined the offer and purchased it as is, and replaced the water pump myself. It’s been less than 4 months since I bought this Ford from clean cars. I’ve had to replace not only the water pump, but the starter, all the spark plugs, valve cover and seals, cam seals, a couple sensors(Among other things), had to clean an incredibly dirty carburetor, and now find out the camshaft is so worn that it’s destroyed the new water pump. So after purchasing this car for slightly more than what it was worth, I’ve spent several thousand on repairs, now I need a new camshaft and water pump to get this thing running, which is gonna be another couple grand. Not to mention all the electrical issues I have with loose wiring where the dome lights turn on whenever I hit a bump or use a turn signal. Also has no functioning heater as it won’t make hot air. I knew I had made a terrible choice almost immediately after I paid and signed the paperwork, this guy gave me a coolant jug full of water because the pump was leaking.
