In my ongoing journey to find amazing food in and around Pasadena I've found another gem. Mediterranean Grill is an all around winner. The beef, chicken, gyro and falafel are all good. The hummus is super creamy, smooth and flavorful. The babaganoush is similarly smooth and flavorful with a distinctively roasty smokey flavor. It only does this place justice to say that the food here is cravable.
My wife has had food from here in the form of catering trays at work and at a volunteer appreciation lunch. Based on these tasty experiences she insisted that we get takeout to bring to a friend's house to watch the NFL playoff game this afternoon. This was my first time trying this fantastic food.
Food joy! The beef shish kabob was moist, tender and well seasoned with just a bit of char. So good! Definitely my favorite item.
The pita was nice and thin and a perfect delivery system for the hummus and babaganoush. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious.
I would recommend ordering ahead for takeout as it was a bit of a wait for our food to be ready. Unexpected bonus, the manager gave us both a free bottled water, and a cucumber salad to share while we waited.
I'm looking forward to going back and trying more menu items at Mediterranean Grill.

Read moreI went here with a friend of mine for the 1st time looking at all the fake reviews on Google and yelp we thought this place will be good for a meal to eat this happened on Sunday Aug 5th 2018. We went inside made our order the cashier looks okay at the beginning. We sat on a table and started waiting for our food to come 20 minutes later the food didn't arrive. We asked the the guy named Andrew where is our food he said they are preparing it it's on the way. 10 minutes later our food arrives in a bag we thought that's how they handle food. After we opened it and wanted to start eat the guy Andrew approach us and said he guys you can't eat your food here were about to close I tried to understand why coz I never heard of a business kicked their customers after they pay for their order. Unprofisional and not good at all. They wanted us to eat our food on the street that's how it's seems like. Anyways after debating me and my friend we decided to go back and return the meals and get a refund for our money. The two ladies in the kitchen instead of preparing the food they keep chatting and talk slow service and baaaad . I'm still unhappy because I was so hungry and they wasted over an hour of my time, and would recommend anyone who want to try this place to count to 100 before doing that....
Read moreFood is ok. Shawarma doesn't taste authentic. Maybe their kebabs are better.
The food is overpriced for what it is, and then they charge extra for credit card use without saying! The owner says there are signs, but they were nowhere to be found (or they are microscopic). Maybe place the sign by where people pay.
Edit to reply to the owner: Suggestions to make your shawarma more edible: First, I would think about the spices choice. There is more peppery or tomatoey taste than what it needs. Then the sandwich is very dry. Think of a sauce. Maybe garlic sauce, like how authentic shawarma is served! Second, think about the condiments you add inside the sandwich. At least don't put a whole onion inside of it! It at least slice the onions more thin than that! (Onions go with lamb or beef, not chicken). Then what else was in the sandwich? Tomatoes?! Third, shawarma bread is wrapped, not served like a gyro. If that's your sandwich style, that's ok, but at least serve the pita bread warm, not cold and stale! Currently, your shawarma is meh at best. I wouldn't call it the best in...
