I was trying to pawn an acoustic/electric bass guitar. I had never used the electrical option on the guitar, and I was treated as if the guitar wasn't mine. I may have only owned it a few months, but it's my guitar. The man in charge was extremely rude, handing me an electrical chord to check the guitar. When it didn't work, he all but kicked me out of the shop by shaming me for trying to sell a guitar that "doesn't work." I asked if he'd give me $50 for it, which is ridiculously low, and he shouted at me in front of everyone, "if it doesn't work we don't buy!!" The employee there just stared at him. I don't respond to disrespect, so I turned to leave. I fixed the pickups when I got home and pawned it at another shop for $200.
