It's hard enough to purchase ANY firearm in the People's Democratic Friendship Socialist Republic of Stupidfornia (thanks to these stupid leftist libturds) but these nitwits make it even harder.
I have my Handgun Eligibility Certificate, and it's currently valid (we shouldn't need to have these, as it's our RIGHT to buy a handgun) and I am fully qualified to own a firearm under federal and state law...so there's no reason for these idiots to make it worse for me, but they did. How? Well...
I placed an online order at the Turner's website, and paid for the gun. I went to pick it up after requesting that they send it to this Turner's location, since by law you must have it sent to an approved FFL dealer...I would have just gotten my FFL license myself and had it sent to me, but this stupid state won't let you have an FFL unless you have an approved functional gun store (brick and mortar). Apparently the 14th amendment (due process) is also infringed in this state, not just the 2nd and 1st amendments.
Anyway, after the Turner's website sent my revolver to this location, these dumb monkeys basically acted like they never got the gun. I contacted the company and they said that they sent it to this store. I told them what the idiots behind the counter had told me, but the online company told me that they had sent it to this place, and that they would contact the store to be sure.
These people denied ever receiving the gun. They lied to me, and to corporate. I'm sure they had sold my gun out from under me. I had to work really hard to get my money back, and I did, but I'm disgusted that these people had the audacity to lie to me and to the Turner's online corporate counterpart.
I hope they didn't sell my gun under the table to some psychopath or ex con. Their attitudes were awful, they were insulting and snotty to me, they sexually harassed my sister when she went with me, and they lied and misappropriated my gun.
Find another gun store. Bass Pro Shop has the best selection, and they are worth the 1,000 mile drive to get better quality products, selections, and service.
I would personally like to one day move out of this Leftist Goonocrat Dictatorship and to a more Constitutional Rights friendly state. Especially because those places tend to have friendlier customer service, and not just in...
Read moreI am a regular customer at this location for guns, ammunition, and any other hunting necessities, but today’s experience was sadly unacceptable. Today I went into the store at around 11am because I had to buy a new scope for my rifle. After waiting around 30 minutes to be be assisted (which is the usual wait time, this is not what I am complaining about) a nice and very helpful person from the fishing department was the only person who stepped in to help me out. I was looking at some scopes there along with trying to see a scope that I found online. This employee not being from this department then asked a manager for his help. The manager then brought the scope that was advertised online for $199.99 and then was telling me that it was $399.99. I pointed it out to the employee that online it was advertised for that price and after looking online he then said that they would respect that price. At this point I had been assisted for another 30 minutes or so until finally I was about to go pay. While at the register the manager then pointed out that apparently they made a mistake and the scope was the wrong one and not the one advertised online so they could not respect that price. While walking back to the scopes counter I had asked the manager if they had the scope that I was looking for and he said that he would check and be right back. I waited for 40 minutes and the manager never came back, at this point I asked another person for assistance and how I was waiting for this manager and they replied that the manager was not even looking for the scope in the back. I was a bit irritated at this point and then I was assisted by another manager who finally went to go look for the scope in the back room. He immediately came back to tell me that it was out of stock. I feel like 2 hours of my time was waisted and I still ended up buying another scope there, but I was late to some plans I had made and the other manager never apologized even when he would walk past me. I will still continue to shop here but I wish there was better management...
Read moreOverall: Been consistently happy with only one particularly bad experience (more below).
The Good: Fair inventory, competent staff and friendly black shirt managers. I've done a fair bit of business with them and been happy 9/10 times. Phone wait times were never long and on weekdays, in-store wait times were fair. Their weekly/holiday promotions also represent a fair bit of value.
The Bad: If you special order an item and/or order an item that is to arrive at a future date (e.g. not in stock), you would be wise to call once a week to follow-up. I ordered 2 items that were within the Turners database/system and when the first item arrived, I was served no notice. Which I felt, maybe they just wanted to wait for the second item to arrive. HOWEVER, when I called to follow up, the second item was in-stock at another Turner's. All they had to to then was to call the other store for an intra-company transfer.
Had I not of prudently called, there is no telling when/how they would recognize that the second item was in fact in-stock. I suspect that their store-to-store logistics need improvement.

BEWARE if you are doing PPT's here. If your PPT is for an exotic firearm, they will likely not serve you. I called in before (twice) for a particularly unique item and was assured that it was good to proceed. When the other party and I arrived and they saw the legal item, they balked at the exotic nature of it and after consulting senior management, they turned us away politely.
I called 2X to confirm, received confirmation 2X, stopped by in-person to show them a picture of the item and still, they confirmed for a THIRD time. I proceeded to alert the other party and when we arrived, they changed their minds. One can imagine the amount of frustration.
Worth noting, they were nice and this took place after a call to the senior regional/district management. Local management in-store was kind enough to direct us to another store that would...
