T.J. Maxx — Local services in Paso Robles

I love Tjmaxx and was so excited to go to this Tjmaxx in Paso however, I was in the women’s shoe isle with my toddler and the baskets happened to be right next to the shoe place. While I was trying something on the lady who was working the dressing rooms at the time came up to me quickly and asked if I needed help with the baskets that my daughter was playing with. My daughter is 2, the baskets were wire baskets there’s no way my child could have the ability to damage or break the baskets. It rubbed me the wrong way because as a mom, it’s hard trying to shop with a fussy toddler and this time she was contents holding some baskets while shopping. I didn’t need “help” with the baskets neither did my child. I know when my child will damage, hurt or even break something. Her comment was ridiculous and definitely did not leave a good impression on me. I know how to control my child at stores even with the most fragile things that she touches. Good merchandise and ok prices. The rest it's a disaster. The cosmetics area it's indescribable. Facial care is just thrown on tiny shelves, you have to touch every each item to find what you are looking for. The store looks cluttered, overcrowded, with tons of merchandise stuffed in a small space. All departments became smaller. There must be a managerial issue. And there must be the same issue with all the new employees who clearly walk around the store doing nothing. I love this store, but PLEASE! Clean the check out area! The light fixtures above each register are coated in thick dirty dust bunny material about an inch thick! I noticed it about six months ago, and each time I go in there, I hope someone finally noticed them and cleaned them. But no, it’s still there and growing by the month. I was in the store last night and along with the lights, there is 1/8 inch thick dust on the impulse buy food racks at check out too. The rest of the store looks clean, but up front is gross.
