Absolutely terrible experience. 2 men working at the desk, 1 fat and the other skinny and wearing a hat. I came in because I was looking for a specific blind bag figure that was on clearance. I couldn't find it, so naturally I asked the people at the desk for help. I explained that I looked and couldn't find this specific one and I showed the large dude on my phone what I was looking for. The dude with the hat decided to help me and speed walked to the blind bags after I told him what I wanted. He bended down and picked up the box of the figures that are similar but not the same as the one I was looking for. He asked what series I was looking for and I told him Dragonball, and then he says with extreme attitude and rudeness "WHAT SERIES" and I looked at my phone and said 1. He goes here you go and hands me the display. The issue is they are not the same product as the one im looking for is on clearance. I bring the display to the large dude and explain I don't think it's the same one and have him price scan it. It wasn't the same, and then he thinks for 10 seconds and the dude with the hat goes it's probably mixed in with the other ones with attitude again. I said forget it walked out and called this idiot ignorant. If you're not gonna help or treat your customers with respect, why bother working? The lady who typically works here is much more helpful and polite then...
Read moreI used to be a customer over at the GameStop in Beverly but unfortunately this store has closed. I am assuming the woman who I believe “manages” the store seeing that I watched her tell one customer three different times that it was “her store” as she let him preorder as many Pokémon trainer boxes as he wanted you know because it’s “her store” (limit of 5 btw) She seems so proud to call it her store with empty holes on the shelves, shelves not even close to being faced, and clearance items that haven’t had price updates in months. Just drive the extra 5 miles over to the GameStop in Salem. Here you will find employees who greet you upon arrival. Clearance items are actually updated and stock and end-cap items are always presented in different ways to keep you on your toes when you come into the store. Maybe the manager should spend more time walking “her store” and making sure it’s presentable and up to date instead of bragging to someone how it’s “her store” as she conducts shady business. I wish I knew what her name was but unfortunately I don’t. Managers never get in trouble but I’m hoping someone will see this review and just decide to take business else...
Read moreHad the worst customer experience of my life here today. Was returning an Xbox One console that was having DVD Drive issues. Was told it was still under the extended warranty in the system. Drove down, problems first started happening when the girl couldn't find my warranty info. Finally found it under the serial numbers, and was going to upgrade me to a one X at no additional charge,YAY! While she was wiping my old system, she then decides to check with another store, who I guess told her that she couldn't take care of it under warranty, even though there system shows warranty. When I asked her why she didn't check with the other store first before telling the customer they were honoring the warranty, I got a yeah, You're Right. WILL NEVER SHOP AT GAME...
