Batteries plus bulbs in Columbus, GA damaged my iPad 3 beyond use when doing a simple battery replacement. At first they did not tell me about it, but an employee let it slip. After several attempts at getting it repaired so I could use it, I found it no longer started at all. I was forced to replace it with a new iPad so that I could continue to use it in my business. The local manager said they would settle the matter amicably, but the "upper manager" or possibly the owner refused to give me reimbursement for anything but the new battery in the useless iPad unless he had that iPad 3 in his hands. I had disposed of it as it was useless and I don't hang on to broken electronics if they can't be fixed. I never dreamed that a company would want a useless iPad to be turned in in order to make some sort of reimbursement. I asked for a minimal reimbursement but, to date, they have promised only reimbursement for the battery. Even a refurbished iPad 3 would have cost the company 350.00. I asked for 235.00 as reimbursemenT, that includes the cost of the new battery. I would hate for anyone else to have this experience so I suggest that you use the battery store down the road or go to Radio Shack.
A Day Later: I spoke with "upper management" today. I am still disappointed with the manner in which I have been treated, but I do understand the need to make a business profitable. I have been reimbursed for the battery that was installed in the old iPad. I did make a mistake when I disposed of the old unit. I should have kept it to prove its uselessness. I hope that my experience will help other customers. I still feel as though I should be reimbursed, at least in a small part, for the fact that I was forced to purchase another iPad so that I could have access to my business concerns. I still do not know what will happen in that regard. I would like to add that the manager of the local store is a good fellow. He made a couple of mistakes, but we are all human and God forgives our mistakes when we ask for forgiveness. Hopefully, if you trade here, you will not encounter the difficulties that I have. I will continue to update this review as I feel...
Read moreBought some halogen bulbs (2 pack) for an outside light fixture. One bulb was fine and the other would not go into the fixture. Has some sort of defect on the base. Took the bulbs back and much to my surprise they immediately put it back on the shelf. I protested them putting a defective product back on the shelf and was told they misunderstood and would take it back off. I watch after going out the door and the clerk went straight to helping another customer. So, if you return a defective item it goes back on the shelf, meaning that if you buy it could very well be an item returned as defective by someone else. I'll never go back.
EDIT: Received a voice mail about this review from Batteries Plus requesting this review be updated (they said take it down, but we'll call it update). The voice mail stated that the bubs were tested in a known good fixture prior to being put back on the shelf. Fact is that as already stated, one of the two bulbs would not physically screw into a fixture that other bulbs have no issue with. It is also factual that they had the stock back on the shelf prior to my departing the store. It is factual that I protested putting the stock back on the shelf. It is factual that I watched from outside the sore for a bit and the staff proceeded to assisting other customers and I never saw the stock removed. I'll leave it to the readers of this post to decide if maybe they went back at a later time to the shelf and found the one box of bulbs I returned, removed them, and tested them, or if maybe it didn't happen. I'll leave it to the readers of this post to decide if the person calling me was misinformed by their staff or as other reviews have stated are unwilling to accept accountability for doing something they shouldn't. Regardless, the voice mail I received confirms my decision to never pass through their door again. This review is not anonymous, that's my real name, and I...
Read moreI walked into the Peachtree City, Georgia location earlier on 2/29/20 and had my iPhone 6 plus screen and battery replaced, as well as buying a few accessories. My total was around $190. The phone seemed to look great when I picked it up (couldn't immediately see the issues because the rep place the phone case on for me), the screen was a little unresponsive, but the reps informed me that when I got home and connected to my Wi-Fi for an update it should fix the issue. Well, much to my dismay, IT DID NOT FIX THE ISSUES! I was an operations manager for 5 YEARS WITH T-MOBILE, which is how I obtained the device in the first place. I've directed more customers than I could ever remember to that location for repair services. I KNOW ALL THE WORK-AROUNDS, and I KNOW A BOTCHED SCREEN REPAIR WHEN I SEE IT! After that screen repair, the tech told me himself that the speaker looked great and there was no water damage to the device. Prior to that repair, this phone made calls just fine. Now, the receiver and screen is completely non functional, the screen is glitched and warped, and visibly lifted in the corner rendering the device totally unsuitable for use. I contacted the store and the reps there and they didn't even pretend to entertain my complaint. Completely told me it was my problem. There's absolutely NO way I can, in good conscience, except such terrible customer service. There's no way that I can reconcile a $190 financial loss! I've read at least five review here with the same compliant! I will be filling a formal complaint with corporate office as well as the Better Business Bureau, The Rip Off Report, and the Federal Trade Commission. I'm totally disappointed with...
