I’m not a person to write negative reviews, nor am I person to complain about service. But here I am.

I went here about 5 months ago with my wedding ring to have it sized up and it turned out fine but now it’s tarnishing/peeling where they put “gold” but gold doesn’t tarnish. They tried to tell me that you can’t fuse other metals to gold which is false that’s common knowledge. She tried to prove herself right instead of fixing the problem and apologizing . I’m not an idiot I’ve had this ring for years and never had a problem until they touched it. All I wanted was a refund so I can pay someone else to do the correct thing and also fix it but instead they wanted my receipt, which I have the credit card charge for proof and that wasn’t enough. $342 for a plated metal they put on my $6,000 wedding ring and band. I tried to be reasonable with them but it was more important that they were “right” So instead of having good customer service and just refunding my money for screwing up my wedding ring and band, they will be hearing...

I called to request for a quoted price to replace a crystal on my Grandfather’s Elgin early 19 hundred train watch. They quoted me 55 to 60 dollars. I called after a week to check and was advised the crystal was on order and they would follow up on the shipment. No comment was made on the price of the crystal at that time. I was contacted today and told the watch was ready and the price would be $100. I objected and said the quoted price was 55 to 60 dollars. The jeweler said the crystal was a special order and cost him more. I objected and said I could have ordered it for 5 dollars on the internet. He objected but finally relented to 60 dollars. As an retired airline engineer I measured the watch crystal grove with a previously lab certified vernier and found the exact size for $5.00. I went to four jewelers trying to find someone to help me find a band that would fit my engagement Ring and look the way I wanted. Everyone told me what I wanted was impossible or blew me off. Then I came to MGR. The owners here are amazing! Lucy helped me come up with a plan to cut and sodder a band to my engagement ring and her husband did a FANTASTIC job completing the work. It is everything I wanted for my ring!!! I’m over the moon happy about how it come out. They were kind and helpful, they did amazing work and they got it done so fast!
