Barbara and Jenny at Whiskers on Kittens really made my cats stay there wonderful! I have a senior cat (19 years old) and I got the windowless suite for her because I was going to be leaving her there for about 11 days and I didn't want her to be cramped. They made the drop off really quick and easy for me. I gave them brief verbal instructions and a run down of my cat and her habits. Whiskers on Kittens sends you a more detailed questionnaire to fill out/print out and bring with you when you drop off your loved one. I made sure to give as many details as possible so they would understand my kitty and her habits and food preferences. She recently had dental surgery so I wanted to make them aware of that too because she was still getting used to eating again. But anyway, I was travelling overseas and I emailed them half way through my trip to check in on my cat and they responded within a few hours (granted I sent the email in the early morning hours before they opened). But I got a good detailed response from them which I really appreciated! When I went to pick up my kitty after I got back, she acted like she didn't want to leave! My cat enjoyed her stay that much that she didn't really care that I was there to pick her up! I was honestly a little hurt, but I gathered up her things and again Barbara and Jenny gave me a little run down on how she did and also told me how much they enjoyed having my cat stay with them. That was nice to hear since my cat can be a little loud and demanding at times. So it's nice that they don't shy away from "difficult" cats, they actually welcome them. If you are looking for a place to board your cat please do consider Whiskers on Kittens. They did a great job caring for my cat and it really is a cat haven there! They only board cats, and they even let the cats roam around during the day (if they are social and not aggressive cats). Which I personally find amazing. Every other boarding facility keeps your cats confined 24/7 and if you want them to have any play time you have to pay for that, that isn't the case here, and it really made the difference for my cat. I will definitely bring her back here again and I suggest you give them a try the next time you have to board your cat. You won't be disappointed! When I first walked in a very strong perfume smell hit me. There were very many cats walking all over the place in the location and some cats were stacked in carriers. I had booked a private space for my cat which was not available when I arrived so the girl that was checking me in led me to a large room where my cat was to stay until his space came available. This room was not clean! There was cat hair all over the floor and cat towers. I mentioned this to the girl and she said that it would be swept out. I told the girl that was checking me in that my cat was not to be put in the general cat population. I also told her that my cat was on prescription wet food that I brought with me. I told her that my cat was not to eat any dry food or be given any treats. My cat normally stayed at our vet when we needed to board him but they had no availability. If this wasn’t an emergency that we needed to board our cat I would have walked out and not left my cat at this boarding location. I left my cat in the room and went to the office to fill out the paperwork. When I finished filling out the paperwork I went back to the room where my cat was to see him before I left. When I got back to the room I noticed that were dry cat treats all over the floor and some were smashed into the carpet and my cat was eating them. I picked up a handful of treats and smashed treats from the floor so my cat would not eat them and threw them into the trash. I was nervous to leave my cat here but needed a place that he could stay for a couple of days so I left him at this boarding location. I came back two days later to pick him up and again when I walked in I smelled the heavy perfume smell. The same girl took me back to the space where my cat was. I noticed that this space where my cat was had not been cleaned in some time. I came to get him a day early and was refunded for one day. Due to the lack of cleanliness of this location and the messy office space I will never bring my cat back to this boarding location. I will not recommend this cat boarding facility...

Whiskers On Kittens : Not a great business, and very faulty. It is disorganized and at times unsanitary, and sometimes cats are mistreated without the owner knowing. -Example : Cats getting stuck in very unsafe areas with chemicals present (Laundry room) and often there are spaces that are not friendly or safe for pets in general. There are holes in places cats can easily get into. As experienced before, cats may get easily lost and may not be found for hours (Cats are able to get into closets and into the roofing where they can be hard to retrieve, and sometimes can starve. The facility is still unsafe, for there was construction inside the facility for months without fix while cats were free to roam open areas - The owner, also, was unfair often times to who he hires to construct in his facility. -The Owner, Jack Carrig, is not as wise and thoughtful as may seem. From often points, he is insulting and rude if something does not go his way. -Unfair pricing : I have never seen a facility that charges a full day of pay for the couple of hours in the morning a person's pet may be staying, they have ripped off many people with their prices, but their "kindness" blinds the customer, and I am also guilty of having to follow this system set by Jack Carrig. He "works with you" once you catch on to how high his pricing is. Overall. I do not agree with the owner or his business. My reason for writing this is because Jack Carrig mistreats his "employees" and strives on his pride, and having worked there, he does not communicate with his "employees" unless it is a bigger issue and is willing to leave them without work or knowledge. -My last conversation with Jack Carrig, after 2 months, was full of Many insults and rude statements by Jack Carrig and comments including cuss words and him attacking my character as a person, which was not business related whatsoever.
