Friendly staff and decent collectibles selection.
Let's be honest-- there aren't a lot of local options for collectors who are interested in action figures outside of Walmart and Target. (RIP Toys R Us) Thankfully Gamestop has picked up that torch and offers another option for those of us who still like to see our stuff in-hand prior to purchasing.
The Pekin store has great staff and a decent selection of games and collectibles. They're pretty heavy on the Funko Pops but that seems to be par for the course these days.

Read moreThe new manager is very obnoxious. We used to go in all the time to see what new stuff they have. Anymore we avoid going in because she might be working. There's one good employee there and she's been there for years and I can never remember her name. Really nice. Understands that sometimes people just want to browse, and if she makes sales suggestions, it's relevant, so the total opposite of the manager. I had the worst experience at the GameStop in Pekin. The employees there are incredibly rude and unhelpful. The woman with glasses and black hair was dismissive from the moment I walked in, acting like my questions were an inconvenience. The man with curly, long brown hair and glasses was no better—he seemed completely uninterested in assisting me and was borderline rude when I asked for help.
