Update 7/11/25: It was so good we had to go back 2 days later to try more, got the ramen spicy this time around and wow, still awesome and amazing! This time I managed to snap a photo of the ramen, the pot stickers only show 3 because I downed 3 of them before I remembered I wanted to snap a photo for the review! Definitely planning on being regulars, worth the drive for the ramen. It’s so good my wife and I also didn’t want to eat anything for the rest of the day because we didn’t think anything could top how good our ramen was. I stand by saying this is the best ramen in the area you will have!
My wife and I went on their soft opening, 7/9/25, and we were really excited because there is not a lot of authentic ramen places in the Peoria area. This place did not disappoint. We were greeted and sat promptly, our server was very attentive and checked in on us, food was fresh and amazing. We had the pot stickers and a free complimentary edamame, both excellent, and the crown jewel of it all was of course the ramen. The pork was fantastic and the broth was delicious. All the additions to the ramen were perfect. Hands down the best ramen we have ever had. Pricing was super fair as well. We will definitely be back, my only regret was I didn’t get a photo of the ramen, because I just jumped into it right away but their photos online is exactly what you get. Definitely worth trying especially if you have a love for ramen. This would probably be your #1 spot to go after you have went. Thanks for the awesome service, food,...
Read moreThe atmosphere has an ambience of a small Japanese restaurant and is very pleasant.
The waitstaff is very kind and friendly and openly offers explanations and asks questions if you are not sure what something is, which is welcoming to someone that may not be as familiar with the complexities of not “box microwave” ramen.
More importantly, the food is excellent. The tonkotsu broth is creamy and flavorful, the noodles are just al dente enough to not turn to a mush in the broth while you take your time eating. I recommend the tonkotsu ramen above all others but the other broths are very good as well. There is a large variety to choose from and each is a flavor of its own. The appetizers are fun, small, and delicious.
Price is somewhat high, though there is not much competition in the Japanese cuisine market in the Pekin area. I would say ~$15 per bowl is reasonable as you are likely taking home 1/3 to 1/2 of the ramen they serve. The appetizers are a little expensive but are very...
Read moreFor those seeking a novel culinary experience and cultural exploration, we recommend a visit to Yasakani Ramen & Grill. Following our initial Ramen Bowl experience in Chicago, IL, we had anticipated the arrival of a comparable Ramen establishment. My daughter and I found Yasakani Ramen & Grill to be a delightful experience. The Gyoza was exceptional, and the Chicken Karaage is highly recommended. We encourage you to try the Tonkotsu Paitan Ramen, a truly enjoyable dish. For those seeking a more adventurous palate, the Tonkotsu Miso Spicy Ramen is an excellent choice. The total cost for appetizers, a meal, and drinks for three individuals was $75.00, which we found to be slightly high. We hope they consider implementing dinner specials or coupon deals to attract more customers to...
