Kroger — Local services in Pekin

There are a few good people here and I feel badly for them. The rest are disinterested, rude, and have no customer service skills. Make sure you check your dates. I tried click List and THEY pulled me pudding that had expired 1 month prior. When I called, I got a lot of excuses and the store manager told me that they have a high quota per hour and don't have time to check expiration dates. What?!? I pay you for a service and you don't have time to make sure the product is not expired? We decided to give them another chance and watched dates closely. We were good for a few months. Until this week. My husband bought me organic frozen breakfast sandwiches. I wrongly thought he checked the date. I ate them and didn't feel right so I was going to call the company to see if they changed something. I flipped the box to find the number and saw the expiration date. 2/20/2017. A FULL TWO YEARS before we bought them. I called and again got no apology. I called corporate and they couldn't tell me next steps, so I called to get the district manager's number or name from the store. I talked to the store manager again, and again no apology. I was asked what I wanted. I was told that apparently there was "no satisfying me," that she checks dates when shopping and so should I. And finally, that I should probably find another store. Done, lady. Now it is up to corporate and the district manager to determine if I find a completely new chain or just...

I haven't been to this Kroger's in quite a while so I was surprised when I noticed all of the kitchen where stuff and the back left corner of the store. They had some really cute items on sale on the end cap. Some of the stuff was a little bit overpriced but the stuff that was on sale were good prices. I actually don't remember the last time I was here but it feels like it's been remodeled since then. The store was very clean and very nicely organized and I really enjoyed shopping there. I had to take a picture of the eggs because of how much eggs cost nowadays, it's a good thing to have documented. Before leaving the store I noticed that there was some dog beds in the front for $6 it was really good deal and perfect for the new puppy I just brought home, there were also some bigger dog beds for $12.99 which was still a great deal! Always love shopping at Krogers when they have such great deals and I will definitely be returning to this one...

I can't find anything at this store. It's so fustrating. When I finally did find canned oysters they were on a 6 ft top shelf all the way in the back. I had to have my 12 year old stand up in cart to get them. Then I was going to go to the self check and a couple were not working and the line went about 1/4 of the way down an isle. So I went to the check outs and it was so congested, 3 lanes open so line were at least 6 to 7 in each line. When it was my turn I'm looking around and there is all kinds of workers standing down by the bagging. It only takes one per line to bag. You actually had to manuever your carts around them to get to the door. My thing is if your going to have that many employees standing in everyone's way then put them on a drawer and open another line to get the congestion down. It was crazy and very inconvenient. I guess that's why I don't shop here, I had to today because my store was...
