Today marks my final visit to Broward Meat & Fish Supermarket in Pembroke Pines. Iām saying goodbye not only to the supermarket but to customer service that has consistently failed to prioritize the needs of loyal customers. On October 23, 2024, I spent nearly $400 on groceries, including five dried coconuts. When I got home, I discovered that several pieces of the coconut meat were spoiled after attempting to make coconut milk. I saved some of the spoiled pieces to bring back to the store, hoping for a simple exchange.
The following day, I returned with my receipt and coconut pieces to request a replacement, assuming this would be a quick and courteous transaction given my history as a customer. What I experienced was far from it. The staff member at customer service refused the replacement, suggesting I didnāt have enough evidence to warrant it. I explained my purchase historyāan average of $300 a weekāand that I had discarded the blended coconut milk when I found it tasted off. Her response was that she couldnāt replace even two coconuts because āsome customers lie about these things.ā
I was left questioning why I, a regular and loyal shopper, would lie over a mere $1.99. Her comment felt dismissive and, frankly, made me wonder if my treatment would have been different if my skin color were different. I eventually left without the replacement coconuts, feeling disrespected and disregarded.
Following this interaction, I reached out to the manager, hoping they might address my concerns more empathetically. Unfortunately, they offered little to restore my faith in Broward Meat & Fish. Though Iāve continued to shop here out of convenience, this incident has made it clear that other nearby stores, which provide fresher products and a far better experience, are well worth the extra trip.
This is my goodbye to Broward Meat & Fish Supermarket, and I encourage anyone considering shopping here to be aware of the subpar customer service and questionable product freshness before spending their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday you get 2 stars because your unprofessional āManagerā Gloria who definitely needs some retraining, and needs to learn some manners and decorum made what usually is a good experience shopping at Pembroke Pines location a bad one. I came either for a refund, credit or exchange on a spoiled vegetable. - yam. When I cut into it a few days after purchasing it, half was good the other half was rotten and black inside. I planned next visit to return it and kept my receipt. I placed it in my freezer to preserve it for proof. I went to return it and this nasty and dismissive unprofessional supposed to be a manager - child, .told me there is a 48 hour policy to return the item.
So beware if you purchase fruit or vegetables from Broward Market as you must eat everything right away or cut into every item to assure itās fresh and safe to eat or you lose your hard earned money if you donāt discover spoiled produce within 48 hours. God forbid you go to bite into an apple in 3 days and you find they are spoiled then you are S-Out-of-LUCK! according to their policy. Not to mention you have to make a trip back to the store waisting your time and gas for their lack of quality control!!! I told her that unfortunate as youāre selling spoiled food. ā- and then this unprofessional says your saying our food is spoiled because āyour just mad!ā - like a two year old. Iām appalled at her high school childish comment then sheās waves her hand and says byeeee!!! ā¦snd walks off while Iām talking. She just walks off and starts talking with her coworker, waving her hand flick off to me āno regard. Plain rude and unprofessional.the people at Customer service are witnesses to her poor behavior and bad attitude. You...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to Broward Meat & Fish of Pembroke Pines with limited time straight to the chicken to see if I could get the 10 pound bag for low price and there. I saw all the bags with expiration date of April 12th 2024. Today is April 28, so I told the meat guy. Asked if he can get new ones. I wasn't even mad about it. he went back saying that he was gonna let them know and I waited 20 minutes. Then he came back out with a bucket of the 10 lb chicken packages with no expiration date on them. No packing date on them and they were not frozen any longer. And he said those are good chickens. I said, but they don't have an expiration date and they're not frozen and he said, yeah, they're frozen. I said no Look I'm touching defrosted chicken. It's not frozen and there's no packing date. There's no expiration date. Why is that? Oh some do & then some don't. He said. I said no. That's a trick that's lies. All these packages have expiration date. He said no, that's not true. I said what is not true is you guys who did something to these packages? Because they're now defrosted and they don't have an expiration date. So you're bringing me out the same chicken that's expired. And now you're gonna leave it out here for somebody to buy. That is tricky and that's bad business. Broward Meat & Fish of Pembroke Pines meat dept is corrupt and...
