My husband and I fell in love with a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel we saw online at the Pembroke location. We arrived to our appointment everyone was very nice the establishment was very clean all the puppies looked happy. After meeting the puppy we knew we had to take her home. We met with Adrian who helped us with the adoption process. He took his time and was patient we never felt rushed or pressured. He went through all the important information with us and made sure he answered all of our questions. Adrian was very informative and thorough but most of all he made sure this was an exciting experience for us. Thanks so much Adrian and all the wonderful staff at Petland Pembroke Pines.
UPDATE: We adopted Zelda on 9/1/23 she was 3 months old, my poor Zelda has had a tough time but I think she is finally healthy. We have a follow up with our vet in 1 month. After bringing Zelda home we found out she had kennel cough and worms. We have an 11 year old Shih tzu who obviously contracted the kennel cough from Zelda which was a nightmare because our Shih Tzu ended up in the ER. Zelda also had ear mites which was the craziest thing I have ever seen 🤢 She was under weight the poor puppy was so sick. It has taken 4 months to deworm her and get her nice and healthy. She is finally putting on some weight she is still small for her age. On the paperwork I received it says Zelda’s hernia was repaired it was not it’s still there but not as prominent. I am not sure if she spayed or not the paperwork states she is but I think I was told at the store she was not. I have to make time to call her initial veterinarian to get that information. I hope she is. Anyway that is all the bad in a positive light she is the cutest most loving spoiled puppy ever. We do not feed her the food that was recommended when we adopted her, we feed her Farmers Dog she loves it. My advice first and foremost have a private vet selected and set up an appointment for your new puppy ASAP take your puppy and make sure your vet deworms, deworms, deworms, have vet check to make sure all shots are up to date, start your puppy on flea, tick, ear mite medication asap !!! and most importantly if you have other pets quarantine your new puppy until your vet clears him/her of any transmittable diseases and bugs. We love our girl and would choose her all...
Read moreUPDATED 2 YEARS LATER (2025): I love my dog with all my heart and I am glad that he has become a part of my family. However, I do believe Petland is dishonest and shows lack of interest for the pets they sell. Sal had sworn to us that our dog came from a good pedigree, he even showed us some generic pedigree he found online to pose as our dog’s actual pedigree, swearing that he came from healthy parents. A year later after many emergency room visits and multiple vet opinions, did one vet finally conclude that our dog suffers from a GENETIC disease known as, lupoid onychodystrophy. This was NEVER mentioned to us when buying our puppy. Our dog is prone to having his nails fall off resulting in constant pain and infections in his nails. This has resulted in multiple vet bills and constant payment of maintenance medication to ensure our dog’s nails are somewhat healthy, because he will never have healthy nails. They will forever be brittle and undeveloped sadly. I am deeply disappointed because this was not a dog that was cheap and Sal used this as an opportunity to gain a sale. My girlfriend and I love our dog, no matter what. But it hurts us to see him suffer and it hurts even more to know that Petland pushes unhealthy pets to owners KNOWING that there are health risks in these pets. Petland workers act like car salesmen for living animals.I am disappointed in Sal and those who work for Petland. For any future pet owners looking to buy a best friend, do better than us and research a breeder that you can trust and buy the dog for a much cheaper price and can properly explain the dogs pedigree to you. Petland literally does not care if the dogs they sell are healthy and will do anything to make a quick buck off of you.
OLD (2023): Lise and Sal helped me so much. They were able to help us and educate us on every possible thing we needed for our new pupper. Thank you so much for our new family member and thank you for helping us and...
Read moreIve now added picture of my dog who is SUPPOSED to be a MINI AUSSIE yes is a TOY and they keep denying their false information she is 1 years old. I bought a dog in March with the idea it was going to be a miniature Aussie. She is actually growing up to be a Toy Aussie. I feel disappointment and i feel like this is fraud, and false advertisement, as well as misrepresentation. Not only this but the dog had Giardia just a week from purchasing her which ive read in these reviews its common for their dogs to be sick after sold. I have been going back and forth with the company the solutions team and the 2 financing teams they signed me up with in order to get a refund and dispute these charges. The only answer i have gotten was $350 dollar store credit, the dispute was denied 2 times because they claim they sold me the correct dog. Despite all the information i showed proving my dog is not a Mini but instead a Toy they do not seem to care. There customer service is horrible there is never a manager when i call. Once their call center did not want to transfer me to the store in fact they told me i had to drive an hour just to go speak to someone. Im going to have to get lawyers involved in this as it has gone way to long and no solution has been made. This business should be closed for their poor skills not just with the customer but with their knowledge and the way they treat the dogs here it makes me...
