Review of Piacere Wood Fired Pizza's Delivery Service
As someone deeply appreciative of the culinary arts and the nuances of restaurant experiences, I find it necessary to share my recent experience with Piacere Wood Fired Pizza, particularly their delivery service. I do this with a sense of humility and a genuine wish for improvement, especially considering their unparalleled in-person service in the 33025 area.
In my role as a restaurant critic, I seldom find myself in a position to assign a one-star review, reserving such ratings for instances where expectations drastically diverge from reality. This was, unfortunately, the case with my latest interaction with Piacere Wood Fired Pizza. The heart of my concern lies in a significant disparity between the dish advertised and what was ultimately delivered.
I ordered a bruschetta, enticed by its description on the website. A classic bruschetta traditionally features toasted bread, often rustic Italian or French, topped with fresh tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, a drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil, seasoned with salt and pepper, and occasionally garnished with mozzarella cheese and balsamic vinegar. Contrary to this, what I received was essentially garlic bread.
Upon contacting Piacere Wood Fired Pizza, the initial response was apologetic and seemed promising. However, it was quickly followed by a revelation that their delivery service does not provide bruschetta in its traditional form. Instead, a do-it-yourself version is offered, with the explanation being that the authentic preparation is not feasible for delivery.
While I understand the challenges associated with delivering certain types of cuisine, clear communication with customers is paramount. I kindly suggest that Piacere Wood Fired Pizza consider adding a disclaimer on their website. This would inform customers about any modifications to dishes when ordered for delivery, thereby ensuring transparency and preventing potential misunderstandings.
In closing, while I hold Piacere Wood Fired Pizza in high esteem for their dining experience, this particular incident with their delivery service was regrettable. I am hopeful that with this feedback and a commitment to honest communication, they will continue to uphold the high standards they are known for, both in-house and in their delivery service.
With respect and best...
Read moreI had heard of Piacere pizza through instagram and even had envisioned having their team cater an event for me without every trying the food. One day we decided to make the hike up to the Pines area to try out Piacere and boy were we blown away! From the moment we sat down, we were greeted by friendly, Spanish and English speaking staff who tended to our stroller needs immediately. From the moment we ordered till when we got the food was all under 15-20 minutes. Both the salad and pizzas were incredibly fresh, organic and tasty. The pizza was thin crust just like I liked it and best part of all, I didn't feel full when I left the restaurant. I felt like I had eaten just enough (because the crust wasn't thick like your typical Papa Johns or other cheap pizza places). This felt like I had been transported to Italy and immersed myself in their culture! Incredible! Hands down, one of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life. Great job Piacere! We will have you cater our...
Read moreThis location is known for being the world's #1 in fast pizza production, especially when it comes to canceling orders. I accidentally placed a pick-up order here instead of at Edgewater, so I called to cancel it. The person who answered the call was nice and willing to help and after several minutes of trying to locate my order on their website, I overheard someone tell the person who answered my call, “Tell him we've already made it.” Congratulations, you are the champions of customer service! Every time I visit this place and another one at Edgewater to eat, I end up waiting at least 20 minutes for my pizza, but when I try to cancel an order, they can whip up two pizzas in just 8 minutes! You can keep my money. From now on, I will spend it at other places that value their customers. To anyone else reading this: the pizza is okay 3/5 sometimes 4/5, but there are many honest pizza places that deserve your support more than...
