I was here yesterday 1/26/25 looking for a dress for my wedding rehersal. I would’ve left a 5 star review due to Cheyenne and the other young girl helping me, my mom and aunt in the juniors department they were amazing and I truly appreciate those two for making my shopping experience special and helping me every step of the way by showing me other dress options, zipping up/lacing up my dress and they’re great attitudes/personalities made it a lot of fun and felt like they were one of my friends. But I took off 2 stars due to the fact that after walking around between the juniors and women section the older women (I think her name was fortune) working the women’s section was trying to “steal” our sale from the ladies helping us from the junior area apparently.She was VERY aggressive, made the experience unenjoyable rather than memorable for such a special day my family and I were going to be celebrating. She just didn’t seem genuine and felt like I was getting swarmed by someone at a car dealership and didn’t expect that experience at a department store. She did not help us at all other than unlocking a fitting room which I was forced to ask for her help since they were locked. Since I had the more pleasant experience on the junior side and was being well taken care of over there and actually felt my voice was heard and was not looked at as a dollar sign for someone commission check, I had taken the two dresses my mom and I had chosen to check out at the juniors side AND this women fortune had the audacity to walk up to us as we were actively checking out to ask us to check out on her side and asked why we didn’t and was not self aware of her rude/pushy attitude and didn’t get the hint.    Read moreI recently had a rather unpleasant experience at Dillards. I understand that employees have closing duties to attend to, but the level of rudeness and annoyance displayed by the staff was completely unwarranted.
I always park my car outside of Dillards, do my shopping in the store and the mall and then leave. Today was no different except for I finished a transaction at the store at exactly 8 pm which is the store closing time. My son (3 years old) immediately tells me he needs to go to the restroom.
While I appreciate that everyone wants to finish their work on time, it’s important to remember that customers are the reason the store exists in the first place. I didn’t expect red-carpet treatment, but basic courtesy and respect should be maintained until the last customer leaves.
My frustration started when I asked if restroom was still open and I immediately got faces and a person tells they were already closed to hurry up. I get out of the restroom not even 5 min later and all the doors were closed. Everyone give me the faces. I had an exchange with the security person and he said I should have listened and got out of the store in time. I never get upset at these things but i feel like all of them deserve a life lesson and treat the customers better. Why should I go to this place again and put my son through all the running around and uncomfortable situation.
I hope Dillards takes this feedback seriously and reminds its employees about the importance of customer service, even during closing hours. It’s crucial to strike a balance between closing duties and treating customers with respect and courtesy.
