Ethan Allen — Local services in Pembroke Pines

It took three months to deliver DAMAGED chairs and with the WRONG finish.

We placed an order for a dining room table and four chairs in mid-October.

The saleswoman told us the items would be custom made and delivery would be around early December. We accepted a 1 1/2 month wait.

Then when early December passed with no delivery we were told “late December”. Then when late December passed we were told “early January”. Then, you guessed it, when early January passed we were told “before the end of January”.

Finally we received a phone call that the items were in and ready for delivery at the end of January. It took them three months to make a table and four chairs! The store rep explained that all their custom orders take time. Lots of time. She said Ethan Allen has 300 stores nationwide.

When delivery was finally made, three of the four chairs were DAMAGED. Two had broken pieces. The third chair’s legs were uneven. And the wood finish was NOT the finish we ordered.

So we refused the chairs.

They repaired the damages chairs. They did an excellent repair job showing no signs of the original damage.

The design consultant brought over a sample of the finish we ordered and it was obviously not what they made. The District Manager agreed on a settlement for their mistake.

So be warned. If you order custom built furniture , be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait. And then hope that your order arrives undamaged,...

I was looking for new furniture for my living room. I went to Ethan Allen as I had purchased furniture from them in the past. I was greeted by Lisa Sokol. I told her what I was looking for and she proceeded to show me every sofa that met my needs. She explained all the differences between them and helped me picked the perfect one. Lisa then showed me different styles of chairs and we picked some fabrics out that I liked. Lisa then came to my house to measure the space and gave me ideas of how to arrange it. Her ideas were a little out of my comfort range. We arranged another appointment at Ethan Allen. At that appointment I picked out the chairs, the fabrics and the wood tones and a carpet. Also I arranged to have 2 of my own chairs previously purchased from Ethan Allen recovered to match my new furniture. When the furniture arrived and placed how Lisa designed it looked amazing. Lisa will be coming back to my house after I receive my chairs back from being recovered to help arrange my wall art to form a focal wall. Lisa took me out of my comfort zone and I will be eternally grateful. She is very professional and a great asset to Ethan Allen. I am glad I went to Ethan Allen. Timeless styles and...

While having extra special attention when Purchasing many thousand dollars worth of furniture over several years I cannot believe the poor disrespectful customer service I received on a recently purchased item. I have been made to feel like a liar And spoken to disrespectfully. The store manager has tried to reason with customer service to know avail. I have a beautiful bookcase/China cabinet that I learned while moving had only been secured with one out of five screws. Given Ethan Allen‘s commitment to safety, I was quite surprised that their answer was that I had owned the piece for a year and it moved, and they would do nothing to secure the base to the top. Frankly, I was just in shock. I still am surprised every time I think about it and it just makes me so angry. What a terrible attitude and all this while I was having more furniture delivered. I suggested that their delivery technicians secure the cabinet while they were delivering new furniture and that was basically ignored.
