I had a very satisfying 1.5hr train ride today! Remember to buy the tickets from their website in advance as the tickets are easily sold out in peak season. Today, I tried the dome cart, the view was fantastic. The conductors are all volunteers and they are very friendly and knowledgeable. Most of the time, they introduced us all the special features along the railroad and the history of the train. We ran through the Cayahoga River, the Beaver dam, a beautiful lake and a special statue.

In terms of the ticket price, you better not to expect the level of train you would enjoy in the real luxury commercial scenic train. What I was saying is that the windows are a bit dirty, the scenic may not be as stunning as you expected. But after all, it is the only scenic train in US national parks going through from one end to another. We are so grateful to have this decent train and volunteers to bring us such a peaceful and relaxing journey...

We booked tickets for the entire family - all 12 of us - to take a ride for my dad's 80th birthday, as he loves trains, scenery, and having our entire family around him.

Let me tell you, my dad could not have been happier. The ride on this comfortable, clean attraction was smooth, leisurely, and really worth the price, especially for tickets to the dome car, which is where we sat.

The depot was charming and well-maintained and the train conductors who took our tickets and obliged us by taking a family photo were kind and friendly.

Huge disappoint! We are new to the area and my 9 year old son loves trains so we drove an hour from Warren to take a train ride and it was not scenic it was dense vegetation like you see on the side of the freeway. They said no outside food or drink and we were probably the only people who did not bring a back pack full of food so the kids and I had no lunch or even water for over 4 hours (although on the website it said it was only a 2hr ride) and there was a screaming toddler the entire trip!
