Was in last Saturday for the first time. Terrible experience!! The food was delicious, I got a burger and it was amazing, but the service was practically the worst we had in any restaurant ever. We sat in the bar area in a cozy booth. Our "waitress" Shannon was not only inattentive but incredibly rude. She seemed spacy and out of it. We asked for refills on Dr. Pepper several times which we never got, (from her) then when we were almost finished with our food SOMEONE ELSE actually stopped by and asked if we needed anything. I get the impression our waitress hadn't ever performed the job she was hired to do. When we asked about our food because it had been quite a while she said "I'm sorry, I don't know why it's taking so long but it's not my fault. I'm sure you noticed it's really busy so everything is gonna take this long right now" Meanwhile we're noticing tables with other waitresses coming and going at a normal rate all around us. We paid with cash, and she seemed exasperated and rolled her eyes as if it was a major inconvenience. It's seriously annoying when you barely see your waitress for 90% of the meal and then after such non existent service your server is flustered and flat out disgusted with us for having the audacity to pay with cash as if this is the end of the world. She said "Ok but it's going to take me longer because I have to get change. If you want you can get change from the bar." It's part of her job to cash out the customer, not suggest they go to the bar and get the appropriate change from the bartenders for themselves. Very poor form. When she finally brought the change back another 10 minutes later I handed her my tip and she again got annoyed and said "You know what, just keep this, it's usually common to leave around 20% especially when you've sat here so long." She put my money on the table and stormed off. I've never seen more unprofessional behavior or attitude from anyone in any restaurant ever and it was enough for us to agree we won't be coming back. Thought about asking for a manager but wasn't about to wait for another eternity for our server to go get one. Having great food is only ONE component of a good experience at a restaurant and even amazing food doesn't make up for rude and inefficient service. Would have left minus stars if I could.    Read moreCame with wife and 2 kids on a Saturday around 6pm for their clam bake special. Understandably, it was busy(being weekend). Parking lot was totally full, all curb side parking around peninsula was totally full. Drove around for 5 or so min and got lucky and found one. Was told hour wait, ended up waiting 25-30min for first available table. Hostest that sat us was rude and upset my wife, right away with her demeanor and disgusted attitude. Inside environment seemed like chaos and so loud I couldnt hear my my wife talk. Waitress, was nice fortunately. Took our order. I ordered NY strip steak (medium) and onion rings, wife got clams and half rack of ribs. Kids got nothing fancy, tenders fries etc.Food came out in decent time and looks well enough at first. My steak ended up being terribly over cooked with ZERO taste and onion rings, again zero salt, zero flavor. I didn't understand how that was possible but they pulled it off. Wife thought clams were good but regular BBQ ribs had some sort of hot spice she either didnt order or was not aware was part of the BBQ? I tried them to see, and couldn't get taste out my mouth for 45 min(really glad I didnt have an allergy to whatever was spicy). They should really make that a bit more known but whatever. Meal for two adults/two kids with tip ended up being around 200ish. Ill let you make your mind on if thats high for bar dinner for 4. Kids seemed happy, wife was semi satisfied, I left disappointed for a place Ive heard was really good. Service: 4 of us (3 adults/1 child) were immediately seated in the mostly empty restaurant, although by the time we left it was ½ to ž full. It was a 90+ degree day, and we waited about 5 minutes for the waitstaff to take our drink order. We waited at least 5 minutes for our drinks (water/iced tea/childâs milk). The waitress left to care for another table with the promise to return to take our order but never returned. We waited over 15 minutes before walking up to the counter to get help finding our waitress. We then waited another 5 minutes for her to return to take our order. She claimed that she had been âslammedâ on the patio and couldnât spare the time to come back in. Each of us ordered a different dish, and our food arrived in a reasonable time after the order, but our one and only drink refill arrived as we were finishing our last few bites of food.
Service Note: At no time did the server offer a discount or compensation for our poor service, nor did we request one.
Atmosphere: The restaurant has indoor and patio seating. They do not keep the door closed enough to the patio, so the indoor temperature was âsweatyâ. Also, the restaurant was filled with a disgusting number of flies which were constantly landing on our food and faces.
Aftermath: The 4 of us live in two separate homes containing 7 people in total. The 4 of us ate home-cooked breakfast and dinner with the others in those two homes. The only food or drink the 4 of us consumed in common was the lunch we had at Fisherâs. The 4 of us were also the only ones to be afflicted with severe diarrhea...
