This store is poorly ran floors are always dirty. They close bottle machines when ever they feel like it as well as self checkouts! I was shopping yesterday and there self checkouts are buged so light started flashing and the black girl that works their and the Mexican or Hawaiian looking guy both walked pass looked at the light and me and my family and laughed so i had to asertatively stop her for help which she was VERY RUDE about and after she finally helped she stated to him her co worker how happy she was that she didnt get promoted and her job is not worth it! Just unprofessional .They are always outside smoking hanging out with 1 line open just freaking lazy!! my family and i have this issue all the time.never had this issue at first tho they where nice and treated us kind and with respect as they should everyone who shops their but turned cold and triffling out of nowhere. They always have attitudes and snicker and laugh at costumers they pick on the customers for no reason. And joe the joke manager was nice but turned mean for no reason. I was shopping with some family with a EBT card for my aunt and joe felt the need to keep blurting it out loud as if I was going to be embarrassed, the lady that mostly works in Costomer service is always nice and says bye while her coworkers act like children I can tell she feels bad and I'm grateful for her because she makes our shopping experience a little better. I'm reporting this store to the better business bureau and calling corporate today. Oh and yes this is every time...
Read moreFamily Fare, located in Pennfield, (formerly known as Felpausch & to date, has been a Continuous & Dependable fixture in the Community for decades) is a very conveniently located Supermarket that is a great place to shop. They carry basically everything you need as if you were at the bigger chains of Supermarkets like Meijers or Walmart just on a smaller scale but still competitive with them. Family Fare also offers a variety of FABULOUS specialty items which is a great asset for them. They have GREAT sales, specialty items BONUS!, an Entire SALE Aisle of various items (you ALWAYS find something you HAVE to HAVE!) I LOVE that Sale Aisle😊, a Service Counter for general convenience needs; mailing, shipping, money orders, check cashing, lottery, photocoping & across from that, they have a Newly Updated Bottle Return section, a Pharmacy, a Bakery (you can also preorder bakery items), & a Deli which is all part of their Store. You can get everything you need for groceries plus various items that they offer & there's alot of perks for being a smaller Supermarket which allows you to get ALL of your shopping done ALL under one roof. Family Fare is a well known place to shop but because they are a smaller Supermarket, unfortunately the majority of all stock items unless they're on sale, are usually $.50-$2 higher priced per item than the bigger Supermarkets like Meijers & Walmart, but for the location, convenience & shopping for everything all in one place, one stop Shopping,...
Read moreAs others have noted, your prices are a little high, but to be honest, sometimes it's worth it to avoid an expedition to Meijer (words cannot express the loathing I feel for the texting-and-driving, road-raging B Drive/Beckley Road ballyhoo). Food selection is perfectly adequate, without a lot of time-burgling comparison between superfluous, purposeless extra choices. (For instance, how many choices of canned tomato brands does anybody really need!? Even if you featured more brands, or had the shelf space which might tempt you to do so, would it really be advantageous for the customer? I don't think so.)
I only took a star off for two things: 1) please ask if we want paper or plastic bags (or eliminate single-use plastic bags altogether), and 2) please offer recycling in your store for the plastic bags you distribute, which I can't put in my own curbside recycling...
