I went to try this place for the first time earlier today with my family. We were reviewing the selection and my mom asked the barista what the difference was between the classic milk tea and the golden milk tea. She responded that they were black teas. My mom asked what the difference was in taste and the barista was condescending and repeated again that they were black teas. My mom kept trying to ask her question in a different way and I interjected and said what kind of black teas are they because clearly they are not the same and she responded that the golden tea was Assam. I said ok what’s the other tea and she responded. This conversation took like 5-7 min with me having to be very specific about what I was asking to get a response and her being short and annoyed at our questions.
I’m sorry but if you serve different kinds of milk teas and drinks in general and that is the specialty of the store, I would expect that if you are an employee there that you have an idea of the drinks you sell there. As well as the capability to explain and help your customers even if you have not tasted them all. Or you can say I haven’t tasted them. No big deal. You’re there to help the customer understand what you sell and offer so they can figure out what they want to order.
Clearly this was too big of a task and difficult for her. I told her she was being rude and not helpful and she just looked bewildered. We just walked out and we probably should not have wasted the 10 min there.
I’m a big fan of bubble tea and teas in general. Im always looking for the next good milk tea since I happen to spend my money frequently on bubble tea. It’s unfortunate that despite the good reviews and what looks like a good selection I won’t bother coming here again and you lost a potential customer.
Tastetea hopefully you can teach your employees to be courteous and more helpful...
Read moreMy favorite drink was the kryptonite matcha smoothie. The first time I went with my family it was really great and so I recommend it to others. And when they went to this location and got it from my recommend they were so upset that the drink was SO BITTER. I felt so bad that I was the one to recommend this drink. I figured I give it a second try, maybe the person made it was inexperienced. So I went to go order and they two girls said they couldn't make that drink anymore 🙃 because they been getting bad reviews and how the recipe change. I asked the matcha milk tea instead and asked if they could blend it...and they looked confused. Like they couldn't make it a smoothie. I asked if they can make any matcha smoothies and it's like they didn't want to make anything that had matcha. If you don't want to make it than take it off the menu?? So I got the drink and it was so bitter like they forgot the sweetener. The first time I went it tasted so good and the second time they must of changed employees or recipes or made it wrong. I hated my drink and I hated that I recommend it to others just for them to be disappointed. This place used to be good. Would not recommend unless...
Read moreI ordered the ooh la la, it’s pineapple with coconut and strawberry bits. It was tasty but way too much sugar, the sugar made it hard to fully enjoy, it got a little better after the ice melted and diluted it some. My daughter ordered the tiger milk drink with boba, she said the boba was too warm, she said some of the boba was mushy but the ones that were firmer were better. The atmosphere was unpleasant and awkward because the three girls that were working, were talking SO loud, talking about TikTok trends, their private lives, and a bunch of random things friends should talk about at a sleep over or something; not the workplace. We ordered in, so we were sitting at a table and heard all their chatter and conversations. They were talking so loud and non-stop, like we weren’t even there and it made me feel like we were unwelcome because they weren’t even respecting our stay as customers. If customers are dining in, let them...
