Rent One — Local services in Peoria

Had the absolute worst time trying to rent a couch from here. I was interested in an Ashley chaise couch. After placing my order I never heard back from anyone for a week and half I had to call them then they was telling me they had been contact me and had been texting me yet I never received any text from them. Fast forward a week or two the couch finally comes in and they set to deliver it, the day comes Monday (2/17/25) and the young men can’t get the couch through the door okay cool I kinda got a small apartment door no problem but then they try be rude to me because not only did they have to bring it up the stairs && kinda got it stuck now they have to get it back down I get that id probably be irritated too. they take the couch back I never receive a call to see if I wanted try anything else never heard a word from them til about Saturday (2/22/2025) when some white guy come banging on my door asking why I haven’t made a payment now mind you when I originally did the offer I did their $10 down for 12 days plus I didn’t even take the merchandise so it makes no sense as to why he was there at my home. I proceeded to tell him I was good rent a center got me right whole time he looking all in my apartment and I let him know had I rented the couch from you I would have made the payments. I went with rent a center $10 more on the price but worth it for the customer service. I would never go back here and I sure as hell wouldn’t advise anyone else to either. Customer service...

I ordered a refrigerator, washer and dryer from their website. I hadn't heard from them for a couple of days so I reached yesterday and they told me that they have none of those items in their building. I'm currently without any of those appliances so I was understandably upset. The guy that I was originally talking to, left me on hold for 45 minutes. I hung up and called back and got a lady. She was kinda rough at first until she noticed that I was getting irritated and then read the room. She really did try to help me and break things down for me so I could at least know what was going on but I really didnt have high hopes. She said she would have the manager call me tomorrow. Harry, the manager, called me and a long story short, he really worked at getting things figured out for me. He had amazing customer service, apologized about the inconveniences of all of this but got me the appliances that I needed without paying much more. He truly washed away the stress of this mess and handled it extremely well! I would recommend this place.
