Absolutely frustrated with this place. Every month, it is the same problem with two of my prescriptions. I fill them, one of them they fill as the generic brand even though every single month I say mark it down in my file I donāt want generic I want the name brand because I have a coupon card that makes it cheaper than the generic, then they take that one back and then they donāt have either prescription in stock so they have to order them, then they donāt call me or notify me when they come in so I have to keep calling them to find out if it is ready, I go in giving myself an hour of spare time to checkout because I know itās going to take a hot minute for them, I hand them my coupon card for my prescription, they tell me it wonāt work for some reason, they attempt it for about 40 minutes, and eventually it goes through. EVERY. SINGLE. MONTH.
This month itās been different in the sense it has been nothing short of a nightmare. I have been into the store twice, made 6 phone calls to the store, called my Dr. who has been on the phone with my insurance, and each time Iāve called Walgreens Iāve been told I would receive a phone call each time when things came in or with information regarding my insurance or with an any answer to the problem we were having with it because they couldnāt figure out what the problem was and needed to ask a supervisor. The only time, I have ever received a phone call with any kind of answers was after the second time of going in and having to make a scene. Iām not a confrontational person or a person who even writes these kinds of reviews, so for me to make a scene, I was frustrated to say the least. Because this was after making 3 phone calls and one previous visit. When they did call and asked me for the information they needed from me, I got it to them and got the ball rolling a little more. So much hassle just to get an answer!
The second to last guy I was on the phone with told me he would call me back and never took my number to do that, so I asked him, āSo are you going to ask me my number so you can call me back?ā āOh...well, you have a number in your file.ā āSo are you going to verify thatās my number to make sure thatās the best way to reach me?ā āOh...well, yes, itās...ā āSo you are actually going to call me, right?ā āYes, we will definitely call.ā They never called. Shocking.
So here I am, a week and a half after placing my initial refill request, about to get both of my prescriptions, sort of. One of them, they still ignored the non generic request, so because Iām tired of dealing with this BS, Iām getting the generic one and just paying the up charge because I am DONE. I called for the 6th time to check on my second one because my insurance approved it (which was the issue that wasnāt being communicated initially until the third phone call and second visit to the store), and low and behold they never even ordered it to begin with. So now, here I am, writing this review, waiting yet another day for this prescription to come in.
It is a good thing this prescription is just for migraines. God forbid I had something way more serious and had to wait a week and a half for medication.
Your customer service is garbage. All you have done for a week and a half is give me the run around. You have successfully lost my business, which is unfortunate because I have a couple of chronic illnesses and would bring you a lot of money throughout my lifetime. But you have successfully lost it. This Walgreens never gets stuff in quickly, theyāve been understaffed for months which puts way too much pressure on their small work force. They also will be closed randomly due to being understaffed despite advertising that they are opened. A prescription Iāve been on for years has been pending for 3 days and was directed to call the pharmacy. As Iām writing this review, Iāve been on hold for over 90 minutes waiting to talk to someone about why I canāt get my important medication. I changed my prescription to this location on line 24 hours ago. I called at 10:00 a.m. this morning to check on it. They said it would be ready at 1:30. I went to the drive-up window at 2:45 and sat in line for 25 minutes. They asked me to come back in 15 minutes cause my prescription that they said was ready was not.
