Churchill's Market in Perrysburg has made such an impression on me, i wouldn't ever step foot in the large chain grocery stores again. The market has everything from "soups to nuts" The many different selections of common items is great. I can walk the aisles and be surprised on each visit, of something new to cook for family dinner. Such a wide range of International food items I've only seen in high-end restaurants.and TV that i can make at home. My first stop is to the Floral area. Every week I buy a lovely bunch of live flowers, always arranged so nice! The Produce Section is alwaysc offering fresh products, and when in season, they are local growers that are featured. The addition of the salad bar is the best. There are SO many items to chose from to glorify a plain lettuce salad. Actually, there are at least 6 different choice of "lettuce" to begin with. Freshest meat department. Best ground chuck to Waygu steaks. If you know a fantastic steak then you know Waygu (although i may not be spelling Waygu right) Great seafood and fish department. The Deli is great to pick up a ready-made sandwich. Or pick your favoorite lunchmeat and add the fresh-made bread or rolls, you can't beat it. The deli also has a wide range of fresly made side items to add to dinner. The deli also has ready-made dinner selections. A great idea for quick and delicious single-serve meals. If you're single or an empty nester you really should try one of the selections, which also includes fish dinners. Dairy, well dairy is mostly what you'll find in any grocery store. The Bakery! Such beautiful and elaborate selections. Cakes always fresh and moist. Best donuts in town...BEST! Although i dont drink alcohol, the Wine selections are out of this world, visually in my case. The market also has a pharmacy, leave your prescription and do your shopping. If you need the prescription immediately the professional and friendly staff will get your medicine to you as quickly as they can. Speaking of friendly staff, this plays a large part of great Churchill's shopping experience! The staff are so willing to direct you to whatever it is you're looking for. And they do this with a smile. I've heard there are staff that have worked at Churchill's over 20 years. Mr. Churchill must be a pretty nice guy to work for! Every one of the staff from the baggers all the way up to managers seem to be looked upon as equals. I've interacted with them all from one visit to another. Chefs homemade meals & real ingredients. Awesome salad bar!! Great. Delicious. I love their Bang Bang shrimp pasta salad. Very good to go meals like Salomon, Pot roast its very juicy, love the potatoes & the carrots in the meals, I always eat. I never eat a carrot except in their to go meals. Cute flower shop, fast Pharmacy. Every employee is very educated in their area, especially the wine department. The wine department know wines from all over the world & can help you pick out the tastes you prefer or they have wine tastings. I absolutely love the fresh Local produce! You can pick it right up & eat it, no sprays & it tastes like local produce, they got me to eat Blue berries & Black berries that have always tasted funky at big box stores from Mexico. The meats are very good. They have 4 or more soups daily ready in to go servings already Hot. And the Bakery... outstanding. Better food & good prices. I'll never shop another big box store. And super friendly people that talk to you. And Walt is a blast to talk with & his smile is contagious & greets everyone. Best Hometown Market. I have really put off saying anything because I absolutely love this store. I have been coming here regularly two to four times per week. I love the fruit cups. I love the salad bar. I love the unique food you can get and find in store. However, that’s the problem. Everything is always out. Days in a row, just out. Half the stuff is missing from the salad bar or there’s no pre cut up fruit with the dip, or there’s no pre made sandwiches. It’s a literal waste of time to drive over. It’s like you have to call ahead of time just to see if they have the things they are suppose to have. It’s a little bit pricey as well but I’m willing to pay that if they actually have it to sell. I have went at different times of the day, and it’s the same issue. If you can’t keep your in store food stocked every single day no matter time of day, there’s a serious issue. It just sucks for...
