I rarely leave reviews on places anymore but this experience made me slip on the Karen shoes and go to the internet to air my grievances. There’s a new game that just came out today so I went into GameStop to try and support the dying business that is physical game media, then was immediately hit with one of the rudest and snarkiest people I’ve recently met. I tried walking to the PS5 games and was asked “hey what can we help you with” in a friendly but rude way by this bigger guy in a grey shirt w a beard and a gold name tag saying “team lead” called Jeremy or something like that, so I asked if they had the game I was looking for and I got pretty quickly interrogated about if I reserved it in a condescending tone. When I explained that I had not but was just seeing if they had one he almost cut me off saying “well this game came in under the radar and they only sent me the reservations… next time if you want the game simply throw $5 in and you’ll get it day one” in the same condescending belittling tone as earlier. I simply asked if a GAME store had a GAME and got my head “politely” bit off. it wasn’t what he said it was just how he said it, I completely understand the idea of pre ordering games but I shouldn’t have felt scrutinized for just trying to buy a game… attached is a picture of the same game at Walmart, which I purchased there (and they had multiple copies), how it was too under the radar for GameStop but not Walmart is beyond me but y’all definitely need to re-assess the higher management there. The last time I went in there was someone who I had a great experience with but Jeremy or whatever that airheads name is completely spoiled it

I used to love this place. It used to be always stocked nicely and had one of the kindest staff of any Gamestop I've been too. Nowadays they're sold out of new games day one, the store is a mess, and there's a weird smell lingering around. All the old employees are gone, and the new blond manager is really the cherry on top that keeps me from going in anymore. Something about a retail employee shrugging at your question is a huge red flag to a paying customer with an open wallet.

I have to say, no wonder GameStop is slowly going bankrupt if THIS is how they run their stores. My last couple of experiences made me feel like a nuisance for even walking in the shop; now I just buy my games from the Walmart next door if I don't want to wait for Amazons two-day...

Buying anything from this place is insufferable. All i go in here for is to get a game but when i go to purchase the game i have to listen to them rant about thier stupid offers or getting protection on the game i literally told them three times i only want the game but they keep on going and then at the end they say so how does that sound do you want the plan and then i say no for the fourth time i only want the game. Its literally a headache no i don't want a pro membership no i don't want protection just give me my effing game so i cant get the hell out of...
