5 stars are not enough to give Lauren O Jewels. I initially came to Lauren on an appraising mission after finding her through the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers, and that conversation led to a discussion of how to repurpose some of these family heirlooms into jewelry I would actually wear. Specifically, an engagement ring and wedding bands.

Lauren was SO thorough and provided me and my (now) fiancé with so much information, and we are so grateful. I'm certain she spent over 5 hours with us, between phone calls, emails back and forth to understand what we were looking for, and in-person (COVID-safe) appointments. Not only did she totally understand our visions, but she was transparent about pricing and helped us find ways to work with our budget. I was lucky to have a family diamond and a number of smaller diamonds from other pieces of jewelry, and she suggested that rather than designing something from scratch (especially since what I wanted was a more simple design), to find an existing setting that would fit my stones. Genius!

I also had a bracelet that Lauren transformed into our wedding bands. For mine, she took special care to make sure that it would fit well and sit flush with my engagement ring, and with my fiancé's she provided lots of examples of hammered styles to help him visualize what his final product would look like.

My fiancé and I found Lauren and worked closely with her to design our dream engagement ring. We couldn’t have had a more flawless and pleasant experience and are so grateful that we were able to work with Lauren and Terry for this important milestone! They are experts in their craft yet made everything feel easy, and gave us plenty of time and support to make the decisions that were best for what we wanted. We sincerely looked forward to every meeting and email, and couldn’t be happier about how everything turned out.

From teaching us the very basics of diamonds (the four Cs, etc), Lauren was incredibly helpful and thoughtful every step of the way. She brought in nearly 10 different diamonds for us to look at and helped us choose the perfect one, as well as design a unique and delicate band that would complement it and set it apart in just the way we were hoping.

Lauren and Terry then worked with us to add sizing beads and resize the ring to ensure the perfect fit, and ensure we were happy with the finished product. I came to Lauren with an old ring given to my fiancee by her grandmother, and very little idea of how I wanted the final engagement ring to look. Lauren sat down with me initially and patiently looked at the few Pinterest photos I had and within a few weeks she had designed a beautiful ring! The process of designing the ring could not have been better. Lauren would send 3d models of the design and allowed me to go back and forth on the little details before finally settling on the final product. Lauren even went above and beyond to source light blue sapphires which I knew my fiancee would love but were hard to track down. Once the design was final, Lauren took care of sending the old ring to the casting house and in a few more weeks I had the new ring in hand! After the engagement, my fiancee and I went to Lauren's new studio and had the ring resized for free which took about 20 mins. The overall price of the design and labor was extremely reasonable and was probably about the same I would have spent on a new ring, but now I have a beautiful custom piece with a family diamond. I will definitely be back to get my own wedding ring!
